What you'll need to do to fix this issue is:

• Launch the game and set up the graphic settings as you like.
  
• Exit the game and head to the folder = "C:\Users\*YourUserName*\AppData\Local\Survival\Saved\Config\WindowsClient".
  
• Find the file called "GameUserSettings" and open it with any text editing software.
  
• At these entries replace the resolution with your monitor's resolution (As an example bellow 2560x1080 monitor):
  
  ResolutionSizeX=2560
  ResolutionSizeY=1080
  LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=2560
  LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080
  DesiredScreenWidth=2560
  DesiredScreenHeight=1080
  LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenWidth=2560
  LastUserConfirmedDesiredScreenHeight=1080
  
  
• Save the file.
  
• Right click it then select properties, make it read-only then press ok. [DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP]
  
• Launch the game.
  
• Enjoy playing with a basic feature that shouldn't be missing in a game in 2023 :)

FOV can be fixed by editing the Engine.ini file.
add this to the bottom of the file:

[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

Last step would be to ask for a refund on steam, even if it is over 2h, make your case with support, all my friends got a refund with 10+ hours of game-play.

It is unacceptable to have such a scam software on steam without consequences to the ones pulling off the fraud. This games has not had 5 years of development and there are next to none proprietary assets/code.

If you are on the US you can report them with the following authorities :

• Federal Trade Commission (FTC): Report fraud, scams, and bad business practices at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. You can also call the FTC at 1-877-FTC-HELP or 1-877-ID-THEFT
  
• National Center for Disaster Fraud: Call (866) 720-5721, fax (225) 334-4707, or submit a complaint online

Also remember the Devs and the Publisher collected your data when you accepted the EULA and logged in the game, make sure all your passwords are secure and your data clear.
