MMod Particles - Explosion & Fire

Description
I am not the original author who ported these particles and wrote the code to display them. I simply had a backup copy of the latest version of the addon on my hard drive. With the permission of the original author, I have re-uploaded the addon with minor changes

Updates:
• The problem of two types of explosions overlapping each other has been partially fixed
• The position vector of explosions has been changed, so that particles no longer fall underground
• Added dynamic light around the burning object
• If an NPC dies from fire, their ragdoll will continue to burn for 90 seconds

Commands:
cl_flickering_fire 0 / 1 (default 1) - turn on / off light flickering

FAQ:
Q: What does this addon add?
A: Based on the name of the addon itself, it replaces the standard particles of explosions and fire with particles from the fan addon for Half-Life 2: MMod

Q: For reasons I don’t understand, the addon doesn’t work, why?
A: Most likely you use any other addon, which replaces standard particles with others such as MysterAC Particles and others. Unsubscribe before installing MMod Particles. If this does not help solve the problem, I strongly recommend disabling steamcloud and removing gmod from the root folder where the game was installed to remove the remaining cache and then reinstall the game

Q: Is MMod Particles compatible with vFire ?
A: Yes, the addon is fully compatible with vFire, but! Fire particles from MMod Particles will be replaced by vFire particles. Where there is a built-in fire on the map, as in my screenshots, there will be fire particles from MMod Particles

Q: How did you manage to port the campaign from Cinematic Mod ?
A: The "Cinematic Mod" port that you see in the screenshots above (which is far from ideal and requires improvements) is the work of one of my friend who forwarded it to me. "Cinematic Mod" assets weigh a lot (the one I have weighs 34 gigabytes). For this reason, it is still not in the workshop

Q: Do you use Reshade [reshade.me]?
A: No, I do not use Reshade and very negatively relate to this utility. All presented visual on screenshots uses standard post-processing and several pairs of addons

Furthermore, I don't know how it happened, but this addon conflicts with the MWIII Takedowns & Revive system addon, where the takedown sequence gets instantly skipped whenever I have this addon installed.

I have a problem with this addon, where any scripted explosions will not show its explosion particles and sounds. MysterAC Explosion Enhancer addon does have this problem too, but Zippy's Explosion Replacer addon doesn't. To demonstrate what I mean, you can go to a map named "down" from "City 17 is Far Away" custom campaign and activate the dynamite. Do you think you can solve this issue?

With the command cl_flickering_fire 0 you can disable dynamic lighting

This happens when I shoot a manhack the only mod i have relating to the manhack is this mod that replaces the model.

Well, the problem solved itself. But for some reason it seems to me that it is connected with the Gmod update

At the moment there is no such possibility. I have separated particles of explosion and fire, which I did personally and a very long time ago. But I do not have time to upload them to the workshop

I don't fully understand what exactly you are asking me to do. Anyway, I don't know how to work with particles. This work is just a re-upload of the addon with permission of the original author and some modifications to the code

Enter the following commands into the console (they can’t be written in one go, so I divided them into 2 rows):

sv_cheats 1; fps_max 300; cl_forcepreload 1; sv_forcepreload 1; gmod_mcore_test 1; mat_queue_mode 2; cl_threaded_bone_setup 1; cl_threaded_client_leaf_system 1;

r_threaded_client_shadow_manager 1; r_threaded_particles 1; r_threaded_renderables 1; r_queued_ropes 1; studio_queue_mode 1; mat_specular 0; mat_fastspecular 1; r_fastzreject 1

If you don’t want to enter these commands into the console every time after entering the game, then enter all the commands into “autoexec.cfg”, which is located in the root folder of the game (Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\cfg\autoexec.cfg). Each command must occupy a new line in "autoexec.cfg" without this element ";"

This is the first time I've encountered such a problem, but still... Unsubscribe from all addons in the workshop, then delete Gmod in Steam and then delete the root folder with the remaining files in the root folder where Gmod was installed. After the process is done, download the game again, install only MMod Particles. If the quality of the explosion textures remains the same as you describe, I can't help you
