*PYTHON IMPORTANT - If you're new to Python you MUST go to This PC - Properties - Advanced System Settings - Environment Variables - MAKE SURE USER AND SYSTEM VARIABLES PATH HAS 'AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python310\Scripts\' and 'C:\Users\justi\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python310\' IN IT AND MOVED UP

*NOTE: IF YOU WANT TO USE BARD AND NOT CHAT GPT CHANGE 'OFFICIAL' to 'Bard' on Line 19

*NOTE: SOMETIMES WITH BARD THE _SECURE_1PSID AND _SECURE_1PSIDTS VALUES WILL CHANGE w/COOKIES - REPEAT

Prerequisites:

Notepad++ - https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/

OVERALL STEPS + CHATGPT

Step 1: Go to https://github.com/Zero6992/chatGPT-discord-bot

Step 2: Click 'Code' and Download ZIP

Step 3: Extract Zip

Step 4: Open .env.example with Notepad++

Step 5: Get familiar with the .env very straightfoward

Step 6: Go to https://discord.com/developers/applications

Step 7: New Application - Name your bot!

Step 8: Customize bot (Optional)

Step 9: Click Bot and 'Reset Token'

Step 10: Copy the Token and Paste it in the .env next to DISCORD_BOT_TOKEN=

Step 11: Turn ON MESSAGE CONTENT INTENT, SERVER MEMBERS INTENT, PRESENCE INTENT

Step 12: Grab invite link to your server

Step 13: Go to OAuth2 - General

Step 14: Add redirect link and paste the invite link

Step 15: Go to URL GENERATOR and CHECK - identify, bot, applications.commands

Step 16: Choose perms for bot - Admin is easiest but you choose

Step 17: Copy link at bottom, paste it into browser, and invite bot to your server

Step 18: Invite the bot to server

Step 19: Go to OPENAI.com and sign in - API

Step 20: Go to API keys and create a secret key

Step 21: Copy value and paste in .env - OPENAI_API_KEY=

Step 22: Save Notepad++

BARD STEPS

Step 23: Have chrome open

Step 24: Go to https://bard.google.com/ on chrome and sign in

Step 25: When you're in the chat window, hit F12 and click the at the top and go to 'application'

Step 26: Copy _SECURE_1PSID and paste in .env

Step 27: Copy _SECURE_1PSIDTS and paste in .env

Step 28: Save Notepad ++

Step 29: Open CMD (Command Prompt)

Step 30: run pip install -r requirements.txt (Updated with new values in description)

Step 31: Let everything install

Step 32: Go back into your folder and copy directory

Step 33: Go to CMD and type cd ___Directory you copied__ and hit enter

Step 34: Type python main.py and hit enter

Step 35: God willing it runs great with no issues

Step 36: Go back to discord and enjoy your server's new AI!

Step 37: Like and subscribe (optional)
