A revisit. 4 of 4.
Now with gameplay more representative of endgame-level encounters.

And thus we arrive at what I consider the most mechanically complex yet smoothest-playing scion class. Boy has Luster not lost its shine with the passing of years.

Out of the scions, it's also the one with the most memories for me. It was my undisputed go-to class for solo Ultimate Quests, and bringing it into the final story quests was a hell of a time. Outside of the game, making the Luster Quickstart Guide (with the large amount of research and editing that went into it) is still one of my proudest achievements.

Out of the four redux videos, it's also the only one where I have a sizeable surplus of boss fight footage (I ended up not using any Masquerade and Stage 35 Shiva takes) because I just kept playing way more than I needed to. Luster just feels /THAT/ good. (It also has an obscenely strong baseline level of strength that compensates for my okay-ish gear, so that may have helped ease the recording process somewhat.)

I hope this series of redux videos has convinced some newcomers to the game that started with NGS to give basegame a shot, if mainly to see where the DNA of the new platform originated from.

Additionally, while I think the bigger basegame-vs-NGS discussion has its merits (for example, juxtaposing Luster's button economy to Slayer's), I want to put it out there that the aim of this series was never to spark that discussion. I just think that my old showcases suck.
