Welcome to the guide
This guide has been created to help identify the keys for each emote/gesture within Dayz. These keys are imperative for interactions both hostile and friendly.

======================================
F1 - Wave
This emote/gesture provides players with a friendly approach to interactions with other players.

Once activated the Wave lowers any weapons in your hands and is considered a warming gesture for starting any interactions with others.

**Although considered friendly this emote/gesture can lead to false sense of security.
F2 - Surrender
The surrender function is an important key to learn. This action can be verbally announced to other survivors and ensures they will not quickly draw a weapon on you. This action can be performed in all three stances, standing, crouched, and prone. This emote/gesture combined with binding an individual's hands ensures you are safe when checking their inventory for loot.

Additionally, if the situation is reversed you can announce to another player you are surrendering in the hope to keep your life in exchange for loot.
F3 - Sit Down
An essential emote/gesture for any role-players out there. Furthermore, sitting can be utilised when around a camp fire or waiting for long periods of time.

F4 - Taunt / Middle Finger
Taunting is an integral part of ensuring a hostile environment. For some people the bandit life suits them. Therefore the middle finger provides these players with a sense of belonging.

Using this emote/gesture will ensure you have no friends.
F5 - Clap
The clapping emote/gesture is considered both friendly and hostile depending on the situation.

F6 - Point
See something in the distance and you want your survival pal to see?

F7 - Thumbs Up
Social interactions make Dayz an enjoyable survival game. The thumbs up emote/gesture is a friendly approach to ensure a trustworthy friendship.

F8 - Face Palm
See something cringe? Forgot you left your backpack in a bush near cherno? The face palm emote/gesture helps you deal with the pain.

F9 - Threaten / Throat Slice
This hostile emote/gesture can land you in hot water. Consider other options unless you are confident you can win the fight.

F10 - Shhh
Staying quiet is an important survival skill. Avoiding hostile encounters can keep you alive for days at a time. This emote/gesture lets your friend know that its probably a good idea to stay quiet.

F11 - Respawn Key
This emote/gesture will utilise your weapon and allow you to respawn. Broken leg? Starving? Got beaten up by zombies? This key will allow a fresh start.
