As far as I'm aware prey isn't seasonal. I haven't noticed any seasonal prey in the game and I can't find any info on it within the files. It might just be hidden, so please let me know! As far as I can tell, most hostile prey spawns at night so I've added that where it applies.

Certain hostile prey can also be found as enemies in the mines. So far I've only gotten to level 50 of the first mine and I have found rats, adders, and bats. I'm unsure of the exact levels they spawn on. Ghosts are also considered prey and can be found on special ice levels of the first mine.

I know the person commented below saying rats can also be found during the day, but that's incorrect. Rats can only be found at night. You can search all you want for rats during the day, but they won't spawn until nighttime.

@Seagroomer, actually, you can catch 2 if you instantly press space after catching the first one! There's usually enough time to catch a second Minnow.

@PurpleHusky: Minnows spawn in the lakes and rivers on the tiles they are shown on in the above graphic. They are rare spawns though so you might have to stay on a tile and catch other things until they spawn. Usually are in groups of 2-3 but you can't catch more than one without scaring them away.

Thanks for the update on the rats! Also as for the mines, I'll include a little snippet at the top. I dont know what levels they all spawn on however. So far I've seen rats, adders, and bats as prey enemies in the mines. Ghosts are also considered prey for some reason, but the only place I've seen those are in special Ice levels in the mines.

As for bees I have still yet to figure that one out. Might have to manually note where they can be found.

Rats can be found during the day as well, for anyone trying to find them.
