Hey there Anglers! Thank-you for taking the time to stop by!

I am as big of a fan of the exploratory side of Call of the Wild: The Angler as the fishing, and wanted to share a exploration guide to help everyone out, if they needed some assistance with the third location, Aguas Claras Reserve in Spain!.

What a' Beauty!

Depending on the time you have available to play, I would recommend exploring this beautiful map and seeing what you can accomplish yourself, and then when you need support in completing those last few milestones, feel comfortable knowing that this guide can help you finish the rest.

Footnote : I find this guide much easier to view through the steam app on my phone while playing!



Since this here is an exploration guide of sorts, there is a chance it could give you more information about this reserve, than you may intend !

So let me make it clear here that this guide takes you all around Aguas Claras Reserve, it shows you what to find, what to complete and throws in some tricks along the way. If your looking for mystery, You will find it in the reserve, but not in this guide.

AguasClaras - Reputation Score [Achievement]
In Call of the Wild: The Angler, you can earn Reputation Score at each reserve you visit by completing content found within it.

Achievement: Aguas Claras Conquistador



This Achievement is unlocked by achieving all 1000 Total Reputation Score across the Aguas Claras Reserve. Reputation is unlocked by completing Missions and Challenges.

A Complete List of Reputation Unlocked is as follows:

AguasClaras - Kings Path [Achievement]
Upon starting out on the reserve, you will unlock the Kings Path. This is a introductory mission similar to the Golden Tour in GRR that challenges you to explore the wider reserve for the first time. It leads you around the Aguas Claras 10 Key Locations and provides an audio recording at each destination.

Achievement: All Good Kings Must Come to an End



This Achievement is unlocked by Completing the Mission "The King's Path" in Aguas Claras.

This Achievement is unlocked by Completing the Missions "Taste of Tomatito", "Cream of Camaron" and "Lucia's Day" in Aguas Claras.

Within the starting outpost (Aguas Claras), speak to the shopkeeper Karim Molina to begin the first mission for this achievement.

Upon Completion, you will be rewarded with:

[10] Reputation, 100 XP, 50 Credits

Note: If you do not have room for another lure in your backpack, it will be moved straight to your storage upon collection in "Step 03", you will be required to take it out before proceeding with "Step 04 - Catch a Bronze Rank Fish or Higher with the Tomatito Lure".

From here, you will be asked to complete the last step of the mission. Simply use the new lure "Tomatito" to catch any fish on the reserve and the mission will complete!

Across the Aguas Claras Reserve are a bounty of collectables for you to find that well share some of the narrative of the game.

This Achievement is unlocked by finding all of the collectables within the Aguas Claras Reserve.

These guides made the game properly playable for me, so bravo to you. Albeit for some reason this one seems a little less accurate than the last two. Perhaps an update messed with it a little. Cheers Jamie.

No Immediate plans, but i haven't quit the game completely yet. These guides as you can imagine take a tremendous amount of work, so i just need a quiet work period and some motivation to prioritise the game. Lets see!

For Brown Trout Gear Challenge #1. Hint says TBA. Just completed this challenge. Back to the lake Carretera de Piedra (Challenge #3 location). Got mine off the right corner of the dock short cast. 1.0 ft depth. 5% drag. 5 hook with Dough.

Don't want to watch it, go to the lake Carretera de Piedra. Take boat to northern most shore for bank advantage. Ran with:

Rod: Stallo
Reel: Ruttelflug
Line: 2.20lb
Hook: 6
Bait: Dough
Depth: 1.0-2.0ft
Drag: 5%

I found that using the Stallo and Ruttleflug instead of map rod/reel allowed me to use 5% drag pretty consistent on low lines where you can throttle while reeling it and pretty much stay in the pink. Instead of a 5:00 fight, it lasted all of 0:15 seconds. My suspicion is that this would have also worked for my Andalusian Barbel commented post. I had absolutely no luck using spinner.

For Andalusian Barbel Gear Challenge #2. Hint says TBA. Just completed this challenge. Go to end of dock at Challenge location #3. Go left at the end of the dock about 1/4 to 1/2 way to end. Face other bank then aim between opposite bank and the wooden pole. I ran with the map rod and reel with the 3.31lb line. 5 hook. Hotdog. 0.7ft depth. Short cast off dock and let the current take it downstream. Took about 2 mins for me to get the gold on the line. 5% drag for the catch took about 5:30 minutes. I wouldn't risk going 10%, too much red. If you get the bite just right, you'll have the other side of the bank to make sure it doesn't spool you. Fought around 90ft out for most of the fight. Hope this helps.
