only works in non integral version iirc, however feel free to prove me wrong

Game was released 1998, Intergral was released 1999

Unless I'm mistaken, this was most likely done in Metal Gear Solid: Integral. Only reason I say this is that the Japanese are the first to get these games typically, so this might be a bug present only in the Japanese version. It has English subtitles as an option, so that's why I say this. I'll try it out.
