Changing Your Desktop Icon
Note This is for Windows 11

So you downloaded a game from steam and created a shortcut just to find out it looks like trash. Thankfully you can easily change it with a .ICO file.
But how do you make a .ICO file? First lets use an example, Five Night's at Freddy's is a widely popular game its Icon is a bit old and lacking compared to the change.

Creating the .ICO File
First find a image online or create your own, I recommend using this site for editing your image.
Here is the image I used, Note I if you want a transparent background saved the image as a .PNG file. Also important to note that your image size must have matching in Height in Width, such as 300x300 pixels as it will shrink down and may appear squished. Now Let's convert the image file into a .ICO file. Here is a safe site I used to convert the image
What to do with the .ICO file
Left Click your game and click what i highlighted below

Once you click Browse look for where you put your .ICO file, Click "OK" then "Apply"
Congrats You Just Customized A Desktop Icon!
