Ever wanted to play multiplayer vs bots but realized you can't use 90% of the weapons/equipment because you're a level 1 slime? Thankfully we can fix that!

Unlock Console Commands

Console commands don't work by default in DOOM 2016. In order to unlock them, you'll have to download the DoomLegacyMod from Github here.[github.com]

Just copy the dinput8.dll file to your DOOM directory, next to the DOOMx64 exe/DOOMx64vk exe files, then launch the game.

This will also let you use noclip, godmode and all the other commands you would expect.

The Console Command in Question

Next, you can go to your launch options on steam and add this:

+metrics_allowStatsAndXPInPrivateMatch 1

Now you'll get XP while playing bot matches! How cool is that?

Got it working, as said below, you dont need the "+" either that OR put it in front of other steam launch parameters if you have others

im getting levels but it stays at 1. Things look unlocked but when I hover it goes locked. I even got the all runes achievement but everthings locked

@subzero671 I really appreciate it. Before it was like 1 level per match but with the xp multiplier it really helps. This game is hard to get levels in because its like all hackers or dead lol. Appreciate it and this guide
