About the main thing
Hello everyone This guide is dedicated to improving performance on older PCs using the config. Thanks to him, on my piece of hardware with the characteristics: I5-2450m gt 520mx 6 GB RAM, I managed to achieve an average of 60 fps, not counting rare lags.
Installing the config
1. Download the config link [disk.yandex.ru]
2. Follow the path C:\Users\[your user]\AppData\Local\OPP\Saved\Config\WindowsClient\
3. Unpack the config files there with replacement
4. Check that these files have a checkbox in the properties Read-only
Config customization
The first step is to find out how much RAM your machine has, I will not explain how to do this.
If 6 GB of ram or less
It is better not to touch anything, but if you are worried about frequent friezes:
1. Open the DeviceProfiles.ini file
2. Replace the number of all rows (except TEXTUREGROUP_Skybox) MinLODSize MaxLODSize by 1
Why can't I touch TEXTUREGROUP_Skybox?
This will break a large amount of baked light, if you still decide to replace the value there, then be ready to walk the whole game with a night vision device.
If more than 6 GB
You can safely delete DeviceProfiles.ini and play with not very beautiful textures
I want to make textures better
In this case, you need to edit the Engine.ini file, how to do this:
1. Open the Engine.ini file
2. Looking for the line [ConsoleVariables]
3. We are looking for the sg.TextureQuality line and set the number from 0 to 4
If soap pisses you off
Soap is not in terms of textures, but in terms of the overall picture as a whole. To do this, you need to edit the Engine.ini file
1. Open the Engine.ini file
2. Looking for the line [ConsoleVariables]
3. We are looking for the sg.ResolutionQuality line and replace it with a number from 0 to 100
Great job, now you can safely enter the merkov object
