how to do
The update from 2022 was for 2.0 so we're using the 2.0 version rather than the newer ones.
To open the files you can use 7zip, google it.

Good. Native D3D is way outdated, Vulkan is for the win. Thank you.

frames are higher and more consistent, the latency overall feels much better

I'm using Windows 11, what are the advantages/disadvantages of vulkan in the game?

Valve just used latest dxvk that was available at the time.

does the dll for 2.3 actually work tho? Because im willing to try it, i just assumed since the implementation was supposed to be 2.0 that i should use that one.

Reason why its smoother on vulkan because it drastically drops the RAM usage compared to D3D. Most notable with lots of mods and custom campaigns. I would still recommend using 2.3 though.

Alright, thanks for responding, sorry for sounding skeptical, should I use this version of dxvk, or just grab the latest off the github?
m30w  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 9:33am
yes, plenty of others have too

Have you been using it without issues?

I've been using the vulkan flag but full screen does break on that.
