Sorry everyone, Due to my lack of technical ability, I'm unable to update it to 1.5.

This mod is now under MIT License, anyone willing to take over is welcomed.

Read as planned

Reading Bill is an addon for Vanilla Books Expanded. It allows you to set bill to assign specific pawn to read specific book, intentionally improve their skills.

Usage

Reading Bill introduces a new building: Reading spot. Place it onto a table, then you can set bill on it, so simple!

Work type

By default, reading book belongs to Basic work type. If you use with XML Extensions, you can change it in settings.

It's not recommended to change work type during a game, which may leads to unexpected problems. If you still want to, check your mod list to see if you're using any mod that can manage work giver, for example, Work Tab. Then tick off "read book" work giver from every pawn before you make the change.

FAQ

Q: Save compatible?
A: Yes.

Q: Why is my reading spot not working?
A: Reading spot has two needs: should be placed onto a table, and should have a seat in correct direction. Have a check.

I really hope Tynan would consider adding this as part of the game. I am so tired of having my pawns be idle when they could spend 6 hours a day reading these books I've spent acquiring.

This mod would be a perfect way to make colonists read instead of going idle. Please update soon. Also, it would be cool having reading as a work type

Tried it in 1.5, breaks right click and finally tracked it back to this mod. Wait for the update to use.

1.5 changes book logic way more than I expected, update may be delayed.
