Introduction
This is an Achievement Guide for 'Ember Knights'.

I noticed that there was not an Achievement Guide for this game so I decided to create one myself. I hope it can help you in some way. Any missing information will be added as I discover it.

This is my first guide, feedback would be appreciated and if you have any extra information to help expand this guide, leave it in the comments or message me.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS (feel free to contribute)

By reading further you may be exposed to spoilers of the game.

Unlock By Progressing Naturally
A Fire Ignited
Restore Ember to the Ember Tree
By playing your first run, win or lose you will gain a currency called 'Ember' this is spent on permanent upgrades at the Ember Tree. Spending your first bit of Ember will unlock this.

Weapons Training
Unlock your First Weapon
As you play and collect Ember, you will unlock new weapons over the course of your runs. I personally prefer the Scythe, but it is the last weapon you unlock. Each weapon has a different 3 hit combo and a secondary attack. this allows for many different play styles.

Orbs Orbs Orbs
Identify your first Relic Orb
Throughout your many attempts, you will collect 'Relic Orbs', take these to Esper (red guy standing next to the Ember Tree and he will turn them into 'Relics'. These Relics can then be found during your runs by entering 'Relic Selector' rooms or in the shop.

Record Keeper
Unlock the Compendium
This will unlock after the initial start of the game.

A New Customer
Meet Arlan
During a run you will find a room called 'Shop' by entering here for the first time you will have to defeat a few small critters (I believe there was 3 enemies which were killed in one hit). Upon doing that the shopkeeper thanks you and introduces himself as Arlan. In future runs he will sell you Relics, Skills and Healing Items if you have enough money. Later on you can reroll the shop for a small cost if you dislike the options.

Lizard Brain
Meet Evee
You meet Evee during a run at which point she returns to Nexus and will take any Skill Tablets you have and convert them to Skills.

Strange Markings
Identify your first Skill Tablet
Skill tablets can be found throughout runs, dropped by Mini-bosses and Bosses the first time they are defeated. Take these to Evee in the Nexus and she will turn them into 'Skills' you can then find on future runs.

River of Goo
Make an Offering to the Offering Pit
Also referred to as the '??? Shop' the Offering Pit can take up to 5 Relics/Skills and will change them to another Relic/Skill of the same rarity. If you give it a Relic it will change into another Relic, it wont turn into a skill, vice versa.

A Friend In Need
Meet Marvin
On the Fourth Floor 'Anville, The Great Forge' once you beat the final boss, a damaged robot in the top right corner will need help. Interacting with him will help him and bring him back to Nexus.

Weapon Engineer
Unlock Weapon Modding
Once you have brought Marvin back to Nexus, he will tell you that he is unable to help you until you retrieve his arm. Meaning you have to go back to the Fourth Floor and beat the final boss once again to grab his arm from the same corner he was in originally. Once you have collected his arm and returned it to him, you will unlock weapon modding. Each weapon has different modifications allowing for variety.

Master At Arms
Unlock All Weapons
This achievement will be unlocked just by playing the game. As you collect Ember you will slowly unlock each weapon.
There are 6 weapons total. In order of unlock: Ember Blade, Guardian Bow, Nexal Staff, Rift Hammer, Razor Wind, and Reapers Toll.

Globe Trotter
Enter all Worlds
There is a total of 5 worlds. In order to progress to the next world you must defeat the mini-boss and boss of the current world. As soon as you enter the final world you should get this achievement.

Bosses
There are a total of 4 Mini-Bosses but this does not include the slight variations of each. The variations do not change much combat wise and as a result I wont be going into detail about them. If I have time in the future I may come back and go into detail.

Mini-Bosses

World 1 - Scoggfirth

Guzzle Wound is the first variation you will see.
Its attacks and charge are easy to dodge.
This is the basic Mini-Boss, the other variants change slightly making them more of a threat.

Gust is a variant which is very similar to the original Mini-Boss 'Guzzle Wound'. But this variation spawns more tornadoes that the default version.
The tornadoes can be dangerous if you trap yourself in a corner but they don't last long so they usually aren't a problem for me.

Plague Bringer is a variant which leaves behind a poisonous trail when it does its charge attack at you. Walking into the poison trail will damage you. Plague Bringer does less damage than the other variants but its poison may cut you off and cause you to take a hit you may otherwise avoid.

Sanguinsucker is in my opinion, the most dangerous variation of the Scoggfirth Mini-Boss. This is because he has slightly more health than the other variations as well as dealing more damage. Couple that with the fact he attacks 3 times in a row in a rather fast succession, you could take a hit or two during this fight.

Fly Swatter
Defeat the first Mini-Boss
Upon beating the first Mini-Boss, Guzzle Wound, you will be granted this achievement.

World 2 - Steadfast Citadel

Royal Phalanx is the original variation of the world 2 Mini-Boss. He switches between slamming his shield down and a few ice attacks. (More explanation needed)

Phalanx Bro's is a variation of the World 2 Mini-Boss. Instead of it being a single boss it could be 2 of the bosses. Each of the Phalanx Bro's has about 60% the health of the original Phalanx meaning they have a total HP which is higher but this is countered by the fact that in my experience, they never rush you together. One of them always stays back and does ranged attacks whilst the other tries to pummel you. This allows you to focus on the one trying to pummel you and dodging the occasional ranged attacks.

Blizzard likes to call in small snowball enemies. He calls in several at a time and they can be annoying to deal with due to them requiring more than one hit to kill (usually). Most of the damage i take from this fight is because the snowball enemies manage to get a hit in. He shares the shield slam like the previous variants.

Shield Bearer
The Shield Bearer will slam their shield down multiple times in a row, forcing you to dash out of the way. Large snow balls will come down from the sky which cover a large area.
(NEED EXPLANATION AND DESCRIPTION)

World 3 - Wightsbury

Herald
This is the variant you will come across the first time you make it to the Mini-Boss on Floor 3. He can teleport around the room, leaving behind a chain circle on the floor. Standing inside it will cause you to be unable to move for a few seconds.
He spits out purple balls, some of which rotate close around him and will hit you if you are close, and others will come towards you in a relatively easy pattern to dodge.

Beguile
(FURTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED, SEEMS TOO SIMILAR)

Charlatan
(FURTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED, SEEMS TOO SIMILAR)

Mischief
(FURTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED, SEEMS TOO SIMILAR)

World 4 - Anville

Scrap Chief Mack
Scrap Chief Mack is the variation you will meet when you first get to the World 4 Mini-Boss. The arena you fight him in has an electric perimeter to force you to get close to him. This perimeter can be destroyed by attacking the pylons connected together.
He has an attack where he launches his robotic hand at you and then drags it back causing electricity to shock the ground where his hand lands.

Overtime Scrapper
(FURTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED, SEEMS TOO SIMILAR)

Cleanup Crew
Missiles are called down from the sky and have a large area of impact. Ignoring them will cause you to take damage and must be actively dodged due to their large size.
They love to use the electric barriers to force you into close fights so they can shoot out discs which do high damage.
(FURTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED, SEEMS TOO SIMILAR)

Demolition Manager
Can call down mines which explode after a few seconds.
(FURTHER EXPLANATION NEEDED, SEEMS TOO SIMILAR)

Bosses

There are 6 Bosses

World 1 - Skrixxa Za, The Weaver of Decay

Skrixxa Za is the first Boss we fight. As a result they are pretty easy to beat, they have a few moves they do, all of which is simple to dodge. If you immediately attack the boss, they will swing at you 3 times with a small pause in between each swing, this is easily dodgeable once you understand the timing. After the 3 swings they will jump back to the spot they spawned on, damaging you if you are standing there.

The Weaver of Decay
Defeat Skrixxa Za

World 2 - Lord Bruma, The Glacial Despot

World 3 - Phantom, The Endless, Empty Hunger

World 4 - Overlord Mack

World 5 - Praxis

World 5 Architect - Arch Praxis

Exterminator
Defeat all Bosses, Mini-Bosses, and Variants

Difficulty

Beyond the Blueprint
Complete a Run on a Higher Difficulty
By Beating Praxis for the first time you will unlock an 'Energy' feature. This allows you to make your runs harder. By activating a few you will see in the bottom right the difficulty will change to 'Hard', 'Extreme' or even 'Doom'. Completing a run with any modifiers active will grant this achievement.
NOTE: Beating the game on 'Doom' difficulty is necessary for the True Ending.

Architect of the End
Defeat Praxis in the Architect's Realm
After beating Praxis for the first time, you will unlock 'Energy' this provides many ways to make runs more challenging. In order to complete this achievement you must max out the energy bar (15 Energy points).
This is what the energy bar looks like when almost full.
Maxing out the energy bar and getting to Praxis will provide a few new cut scenes and then you will face off against 'Architect Praxis'. Upon beating him you get the games 'True Ending' and get this achievement.

I personally beat this achievement with the energy spent in the following debuffs:
Hulking - 2 - Enemy Health 130%
Haste - 1 - Enemy Speed 125%
Bane - 1 - Enemy Damage 125%
Onslaught - 2 - Enemy Attack Speed 135%
Horde - 1 - Enemy Spawn Rate 125%
Malice - 1 - More Elite Enemies
Pantheon - 3 - World 1 / World 2 / World 3 Boss Variants
Sealed - 1 - One Skill Slot Disabled
Inflation - 1 - Less Shops Appear
Blitz - 2 - 9 Minute Timer

I used the Scythe and went for a Heal on Crit build. Buying items from Arlan in the spawn area helps alot.

Scholar
Unlock all Compendium entries

A Rainbow of Flame
Unlock all Player Colours
There is already a guide created for this, so here: https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3009304112

Antique Roadshow

Playing the game, beating bosses and completing all the secrets/achievements will help to get all the relics faster.

Power Overwhelming
Unlock all Ember Tree Upgrades
This will come with time as whether you win or lose, you earn Ember to spend at the Ember Tree.

Ooh Shiny
Unlock all Mods for a weapon
This was significantly easier than I thought it'd be. Multiple times I have been able to get 10+ Ash from a single run. It takes 2 of those runs to max out mods on a weapon.

Master Magician
Unlock all Skills
Secret Achievements
Ember Knights has a total of 14 Secret Achievements.

Bakers Delight
Cook a Pie
There is a skill called 'Ember Fire' using it on a apple which is on the floor will cook it giving it better healing properties. This can also be done if your weapon has the burn effect.

Well Done!
Cook some meat
There is a skill called 'Ember Fire' using it on a piece of meat will cook the meat and increase its healing properties. This can also be done if your weapon has the burn effect.

Mended Glass
Fix the Broken Jar
In the shop there may be a Jar filled with green slime for 1 Gold. Buying it will make it fall to the floor and shatter. The green slime will slither out the shop. In your future runs you may find '??? Shop' entering will take you to a place with no enemies but a huge green slime in the ground. He will ask for some gold and giving him some will result in your broken glassjar being repaired to a Glass Jar relic. You must then take it to the Shopkeeper Arlan where it'll turn into 'Bob's Containment Field' Relic.

Sharing is Caring
Slice the pie after cooking it
After cooking the pie, swing your weapon at it and it will be cut. (This can be done with apples and the sliced apple will not heal you but will increase your damage by 1).

Vandal
Break Arlans shop sign
When in Arlans shop there is a wooden sign. Attack it. He will get mad but nothing negative happens. It drops a few coins on being broken.

Shh... It's a Secret!
Find the 'Secret' Page in the Compendium
Navigating all the way to the left in the Compendium will unlock a new tab for secrets.

A Greater Power
Attack Esper
Do it. Hit him 3 times. Now. Punch. Kick. Claw. Shoot.

The Colour of Change
Find a secret room
Throughout your playthrough you may notice walls that have the same icon as the achievement picture. Use the skill called 'Blast Bomb' and throw the bomb at the marked wall. The wall will break and a room will appear. Enter for the achievement and possibly a new colour for your Knight.

Too Well Done
Burn cooked meat
There is a skill called 'Ember Fire' using it on a piece of meat will cook the meat and increase its healing properties. Cook it again to burn it. You may want to get a relic which gives you another charge of the skill to ensure you can burn it. This can also be done if your weapon has the burn effect.

Record Breaker
Break the Mimic Kings Music Box
The Mimic Kings Room has a Gold Crown Icon. Next to the Mimic King there is a Vinyl Player. Attack it many times (40-50) and it'll break.

We're Doomed
Play the credits mini-game
On the main menu selecting Credits will take you to a mini game where you have a random weapons and skills and must kill Stewards.
I do not know what the minimum score requirement is. I got a score of 32 and completed it.

The Sleepy King
Wake up the Mimic King
In order for the Mimic King to be asleep, you must've met him several times already. After you've met him many times, he may be asleep when you enter the room. DO NOT play the chest game, this will wake him up but not give the achievement. Hit him whilst he is asleep and he will wake up, giving the achievement.

Hide and Seek
Find the poorly hidden Frosty
After beating the World 2 Boss, there will be a smiley face hidden on the right side of the portal which leads to World 3. Attack it to get this achievement AND a new colour for your Knight.

Newton's Law
Blow up a Steward
On controller the interact button is 'RB' (Right Bumper). Keep pressing it when next to a Steward in Nexus and they will explode, granting this achievement.

Conclusion
I hope you found this guide useful. If I have missed anything that should be here please let me know.

The Final Secret is Chroma Key, and it is unlocked by hitting the Ember Tree to change its color. Don't know if there's any other requirements.
