The 'classic' Apogee logo used for the original game isn't shown by default, but can be quickly modded back into the game using 7-Zip - https://www.7-zip.org/download.html - a free file archiver programme.

The following steps should take about 1-2 minutes to permanently change the game files. No achievements should be disrupted by this to my knowledge.

NOTE: To save time for users that have no experience with SLADE - https://slade.mancubus.net/index.php?page=downloads - I already used this to extract the relevant files (AP_PAL.pal and AP_TITL.png) from assetsdarkwar.wad. As such no steps are included covering how to do this here.

PREREQUISITES:
1. Download and install 7-Zip using the link above (or use another archiver programme if you have one!)
2. Download the old Apogee logo and palette from here: https://archive.org/details/rott-le-1994-apogee-logo. Extract the contents to a temporary folder on your desktop.

UPDATING THE LOGO:
3. Go to the Steam library tab and right click Rise of the Triad: Ludicrous Edition, then click 'Properties...'
4. In the window that appears, go to the 'Installed files' tab and click the 'Browse...' button. A Windows explorer window should then open with the ROTT: LE directory.
5. Right click the file 'RottEX.kpf', then click 7-Zip > Open Archive. 7-Zip should then open with the contents of the file. Double click the 'wad' folder to open it.
6. Drag and drop the two files from your temporary desktop folder (should be AP_PAL.pal and AP_TITL.png) into the 7-Zip window. 7-Zip will ask "Are you sure you want to copy files to archive..." - say YES.
7. Still in 7-zip, right click the file 'AP_TITL.png.json' and click 'Edit'. The file should open in Notepad or Notepad++. Change 'offset_x' to '25' and 'offset_y' to '50' and save and close the file.
8. 7-Zip should now prompt "File 'AP_TITL.png.json' was modified. Do you want to update it in the archive?' - say OK.
9. Close 7-Zip. Delete the temporary folder on your desktop. Start the game.
