How to detect movement players
First of all, it's important to note that many players who focus on movement techniques often find themselves in the lower ranks, such as Silver. This is because executing advanced movement tricks can be more challenging at higher skill levels. Additionally, movement players tend to favor playing on the map Nuke, as it offers ample opportunities for their playstyle.

During the warmup phase, if you're looking for movement players, there are a few indicators to consider. Take a look at their steam profile, specifically their hours played, profile information, and groups they're a part of. If you come across references to "franzJ" on their profile, like a profile picture or username, it's likely they enjoy executing movement-based strategies on Nuke. Similarly, if they're part of a group with a name like "de_nuke or movemint" there's a good chance they are movement players.
Furthermore, keep an eye out for players with a substantial number of hours played, such as around 1000 hours, and impressive weapon skins like knives. If they are still in the Silver rank despite their experience and investment in skins, it's likely they focus on movement techniques.

If you couldn't identify any movement players during the warmup, you can expect them to frequently go outside during the game and attempt an edge bug. An edge bug is a specific movement exploit that allows players to fall onto an edge without taking fall damage. However, rushing through vents alone doesn't guarantee that a player is a movement player, as it's a common strategy used by various playstyles.

By considering these factors and observations during warmup, you'll have a better chance of identifying movement players in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Terrorist Side: Unraveling the Movement Players' Path
Most movement players take the path from T spawn to the silo, then proceed to jump on top of mini. From there, they often make their way outside to heaven through the ladder or occasionally venture from mini to the vent, aiming to plant the bomb at bombsite B. However, it's worth noting that they frequently encounter challenges along the way, leading to various outcomes.
Counter Terrorist Side: Unraveling the Movement Players' Path
On the CT side, movement players often take a specific route. They frequently start by going from their spawn to heaven, and from there, they primarily head towards hut. However, they sometimes deviate and go through squeaky. Afterward, they proceed to the lobby, utilizing the ladder to reach the T roof. From the roof, they move towards the silo and continue through main. Depending on their success and the situation, the round may conclude with them eliminating most of the enemy team, planting the bomb, or occasionally, they may meet their demise midway through their path. Alternatively, they may opt for the ramp and lobby approach, following the same path as mentioned earlier after reaching the lobby. If you are camping at the lobby, it is crucial to watch all of these entry points diligently, as neglecting even one position can leave you vulnerable to being eliminated by movement players
Countering Movement Players on T Side
When facing terrorist movement players on Nuke, you'll find that they commonly head outside to take advantage of the silo and mini areas. To effectively counter their strategies, positioning yourself next to the garage provides an excellent vantage point for sniping them down as they attempt to edgebug or move towards mini. Keep in mind that shooting a player in mid-air disrupts their momentum, causing them to lose speed, which may result in them falling behind the mini area. If you don't manage to take them out immediately, be prepared for their response. They might attempt to retaliate from mini or rush your position. Stay alert and try to predict their movements. Utilizing surprise tactics by rushing them can catch them off guard, but exercise caution and avoid rushing if there are other enemies outside who pose a threat to you. My personal weapon of choice for this strategy would be the AUG since it has a scope and does good
damage. Note: do not stand on the same spot every round cus they will start prefireing it
Countering Movement Players on CT Side
As mentioned before, movement players on the CT side have a primary goal of reaching the lobby to access the roof area. The most effective strategy to counter them is by camping at the lobby. Two favorable positions for this are near squeaky and next to the hut exit.
There's no need to worry about the entrance from radio since you can hear them running towards the ladder. By peeking them from these positions, you can eliminate them reliably. However, it's important to note that if they catch on to your camping tactics after a few rounds, it's advisable not to stay in the same position all the time. Vary your camping spots to keep them guessing and maintain the element of surprise.

This means CT has a huge advantage on countering T side as T just had at least three movement options out of the fence (including the entirety of outside) but also losing any advantage they have over rushing T as this applies to them as well, but due to the hilarious garbage matchmaking that we got, rushing T is always applicable due to them most of the time ignoring lobby entirely (e.g rush B from outside or from ram) CT now basically has gained the benefits (most of it) of all the things that T couldn't get from this strategy alone.
however not many people takes negev anymore so vent rush is still considered viable for T side, but CT still wins regardless, you just have to be very lucky now instead of your skill deciding how it will goes on T side, and on CT it's just really braindead and it's too easy to counter rush T as long as they don't camp lobby.

actually you should update this because:
Due to how CS2 works, because of peeker's advantage (basically player 1 sees player 2 but player 2 doesn't see player 1 in ALL circumstance) YOU are guaranteed to be tapped clean in the head rushing down to vent. This goes the same for hut, but because hut was """protected""" by two big nuclear plants you get a 50/50 instead of a guaranteed rush like before as it now depends entirely on whether if there's anyone going to heaven or are they moving slow enough for you to get to site before they get into position.

If they watch hut they won't have enough time to react unless:

One of them bought a Negev watching Squeaky. (This sometimes happen in higher level plays and usually happens in low elo)
Two or more people watching Squeaky. You can ball with it but the guy watching above Hut can easily dink you.

If either of this happens the backup strat is to go around outside to CT or rush Ramp.

Vent rush into Secret/Ramp is very situational and depends on your team much more than other strats, because it requires CT focusing two or more people watching Ramp, or Outside for it to work, and/or your team is rushing Ramp to B or lobby to A. It's not commonly used by movement players because of this.

That's very interesting guide. There's also vent rush into secret into CT for T side, but only a select amount of people use it.
