Description




Using Better Mechanics: AI Divisions, you can finally go up against the AI with its army as grad as their industry grants them. It will now be more challenging to break the AI divisions without serious planning and consideration, as from now on, the AI will make capable divisions that will make all your dreams of rushing and rapid encircling of disappointing divisions vanish or become quite a quagmire, just like in real life!


General Guidelines :
– Infantry width will be designed with the following widths: 20w, 25w, 30w (lighter) , and 30w (heavier), depending on industry size
– Armor : 30w, and 35w (depending on industry size)
– Mountainers around mountains, obviously: 25w
– Marines = 35w
– Amphibious Tank Marines = 35w
– Motorized, Mechanized = 30w
– Suppression Template = 10w
– It also has the positive side effect of reducing division spam and equipment waste

As such, divisions will be varied and interesting while still making sense historically (I've done my research and put it into the game in a digestible format)

Additional Features :
– Maintenance/Supply Companies will be present in divisions
– Special Forces are a bit more relevant
– AI will use anti-tank/anti-air in their divisions

WW2 divs were so much smaller than the game portrays it to be.

great mode! just some advice: Realist tank division in ww2 has 2-3 gun battalion in all the countries. A realistic tank division had about 2-4 tank battalion 3 motorized division 2-3 gun battalion and others, about 11000 men in total. A 30w division with 6 tank+ battalion and 6 motorized battalion is not achievable in ww2.

Does this give AI any buffs? Or is it simply more efficient division design... I ask because in KRX american civil war, encircled infantry divisions held on forever and unless I used tanks it was like fucking WW1

@Amine Alkaline I don't know why, but Better Mechanics: Extended Units doesn't have this problem
