Important: You can restart individual chapters, but there is no "chapter select" or similar option. Backup your save game if you want to replay from a certain point.

You will need to collect enough crystals of a single Aspiration to be able to pick them as the new heart, which means choosing mostly their options throughout the whole game, although there is some leeway. Collecting enough crystals for an aspiration doesn't lock you out of the other endings, so these can be achieved in a single playthrough with backing up and restoring saves.

Near the end of Chapter 3, follow the "Try to befriend Jade" route, and then pick options to keep Jade on side and get her to open up to you.

Finding balance

In Chapter 1, make sure to collect 2 Chaos crystals as well as either 1 Bond and 1 Bliss, or 1 Truth and 1 Power. Make sure you have a spare crystal as near the end you will have to choose an option which loses a crystal. At the end, pick either "Ursula takes my hand" or "Ursula smiles defiantly", and then choose "Perfectly balanced".

At the end of Chapter 1, choose "I'll stay", then during Chapter 3, select options for an Aspiration who is eligible for becoming the new heart (the heart screen will appear before this to show you who you can choose from) and make sure to collect 3 crystals for that Aspiration. Select that Aspiration as the new heart, then follow until the end of the game.
