Replaces vehicle spawners with weapon pickups!
This mutator aims to emulate the halo/half life deathmatch!

DISCLAIMER:
MUTATOR IS SHOULD BE USED WITH SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED MAPS!
To find such maps, search for Weapon Spawners

Only modded weapons that have tags from the vanilla categories (Assault, Close quarters etc.) will spawn in the normal spawners, although all weapons can spawn in the random spawner. For this reason there is an option for setting all spawners to the 'random' type.

Hey Andy, I figured out the problem. No idea what caused the massive frame drops but when I put the spawners inside protected flag rings it worked. It didn't occur to me that they still need to be in them to spawn-- just like vehicles haha

1. Have you turned on the mutator? Launch the map through the instant action screen.
2. Yeah I know it's laggy, but I've never had it lag anywhere near that much, does it lag that much on other maps with weapon spawners?
3. The mutator shouldn't affect normal spawn points at all

Is there a walkthrough on how to make a level for this mod? When I try just adding vehicle spawners + checking the random-weapon box in the config screen, a couple things happen.

1. None of the weapon spawners spawn (not even the plate the gun sits on top of).
2. I get frame spikes like crazy, down to like 3 frames per second (I have an i7 and a RTX 3070)
3. For some reason I fall through terrain? And the spawn points I've set don't seem to work (as in, I sometimes don't spawn on them)

any ideas what might be causing it?

It can spawn any modded weapon that has been sorted into the default Vanilla tags (Assault, Close quarters etc). Weapons without these tags will only be spawned through the random spawners. There is a config that sets all spawners to the random type for this reason.

Configuration for starting weapon has been added! As long as the weapon has a unique name it should be usable.

would be even better to make every start with just a pistol or melee just like in those old games

options for keeping certain vehicles and customizing starting weapons would be nice, but overall a really impressive mutator. almost motivates me to go back to ravenm ravenscript stuff. almost
