What affects your rank negatively.
What affects your rank positively.
What doesn't affect your ranking.
Advices [Solo]
Use every battery you see. If can't use it - just toggle night vision for a moment.

Use every bottle and brick you see (damage enemies, headshot'em when possible), keep 1 or 2 bricks/bottles for the end of the trial and use it to get to the shuttle safely.

Always keep 1 (better 2, if you have upgraded your inventory up to 4 slots) bricks or bottles. If you have upgraded a perk, that allows you to use brick/bottle to skip Hider jumpscare - you can avoid being damaged.

Use every adrenaline shot you found, cuz they're pretty much useless - there are no places in any map where you can't just jump into the dark and sneak or silent-jump away from the enemy.

Use rig every time it recharges, if you found rig recharger - use the rig and recharge it.

Bash blocked doors/barricades.

Avoid any traps, damage, sanity loss.

Disarm traps!
Advices [Co-op]
Defuse door traps and use batteries from it.
Use any batteries that you sure won't be need/used by your teammates, for example, batteries that are far from everyone.
You can do a "stash" with batteries in somewhere, your teammates will take it if they need, and you could use all the batteries from this "stash" closer to the end of the trial.

Use every bottle and brick you see (damage enemies, headshot'em when possible), keep 1 or 2 bricks/bottles for the end of the trial and use it to get to the shuttle safely with your team.

Always keep 1 (better 2, if you have upgraded your inventory up to 4 slots) bricks or bottles. If you have upgraded a perk, that allows you to use brick/bottle to skip Hider jumpscare - you can avoid being damaged or you can just help your friends with these.

Help your teammates, revive them, do cooperative actions.

Use your rig when it possible, if you found rig recharger - find yourself an opportunity to use it (heal ur teammates; stun enemies; x-ray).

On lower difficulties - use every adrenaline shot you find.
On higher difficulties - share it with your teammates if you're skilled enough/don't need it.

Bash blocked doors and barricades.

Avoid any traps, damage, sanity loss.

Disarm traps!

New update! [26 October]
This update have changed ranking system a little bit, but as i've noticed it's not a big difference from what we had before.
Everything is pretty much the same.

My thoughts from what i've seen in patch notes and from in-game experience:
- it's now impossible/VERY hard to get A+ if one of your teammates died and u finished the trial without reviving him.
- Developers don't want players to rush or speedrun trials (leaving their teammates behind), so they've made some changes in ranking system to penalty speedrun players in multiplayer (but, honestly, i don't know what they've changed except highering penalty for escaping without reviving teammates. RESEARCH IN PROGRESS!)
- CO-OP Actions now affect the rank more.

I won't update sheets right now, because these are almost theories at the moment, and i want to get more information about new changes before updating the guide fully.

That's everything i've noticed for now, i'll update guide if i find something.

Big thanks to everyone,
Stay hyped for updates!
That's all... For now.
I will update this guide with time.
Good luck!

@Nacho, i think i know what guide are you talking about.
I've seen it, and reported it. But seems like Steam doesn't care.

You can report it (button right side from like/dislike/favourite).

hey, somebody stole your guide, they just copy pasted it, is there any way to report it? would Steam even care?

Got an A+ and all I did was help teammates and hide(Also didn't die or get hit at all). So don't feel bad if you feel like you're not doing objectives enough.

@Bandit, no, it doesn't count if you don't take any damage.

What about duck tnt trap? I usually disarm them by standing on trigger border, then they explode wo damage. It count as negative?

the game itself is casual, so by nature the playerbase is casual. i have not ran into people in this game who i would deem "not casual", especially since there's no reason not to be casual. It would really only boil down to the people who are inexperienced that would not be able to fully utilize adrenaline, in which case it is not the fault of the adrenaline but simply the players not having good enough of a grasp yet and it shouldn't take long before they do.

@очень человек, yes, you're right. But this guide is aimed on casual players mostly, or atleast was before.

К слову говоря, есть русскоязычная версия руководства. :pwssus:

we don't use adrenaline for the sole purpose of running from the enemy, we literally always use it to get things done. if you're only using it to get away from enemies, then yeah it's useless and serves no purpose. i don't think i've ever had a single chase where adrenaline was necessary, there are so many tools at your disposal in order to avoid the enemies. Why use it for something that you don't need it for when you could instead use it to get objectives done significantly faster, especially ones that force you to reveal yourself which in turn reduces the amount of time you need to spend and overall risk.
