Ми-8 - советский многоцелевой вертолёт, разработанный Опытным конструкторским бюро М. Л. Миля, в начале 1960-х годов. Ми-8 является самым массовым вертолётом в истории авиации. Широко используется более чем в 50 государствах мира для выполнения множества гражданских и военных задач.

Ми-8МТ — модификация с двигателями ТВ3-117 с дополнительной газотурбинной установкой АИ-9В и пылезащитным устройством. В 1979—1988 гг. вертолёт Ми-8МТ принимал участие в военном конфликте в Афганистане.

The Mi-8 is a Soviet multi-purpose helicopter developed by the Experimental Design Bureau of M. L. Mil, in the early 1960s. The Mi-8 is the most massive helicopter in the history of aviation. It is widely used in more than 50 countries of the world to perform a variety of civil and military tasks.

Mi-8MT is a modification with TV3—117 engines with an additional AI-9V gas turbine unit and a dustproof device. In 1979-1988, the Mi-8MT helicopter took part in the military conflict in Afghanistan.
