解説
Detectors do something! With range!

Adds animation to the Ore Detectors in Space Engineers, now they will move when powered.

This version also adjusts the range of both the large and small detectors. Currently 250m for the small detector and 1000m for the large detector. You can find a purely aesthetic version here.


Current Features:
  • Small Ore Detector
    • It spins!
    • Range 250m
  • Large Ore Detector
    • It spins too!
    • Range 1000m

Other Mods:
All models have been modified from the modSDK source files and include complete collision, build stages and modified LODs.

It says "Scanning range capped to 500.00m" but it actually still scans out to 1km

The large ore detector say "Scanning range capped to 500.00m" when trying to scan at more than 500m.
It's a new game limitation or i miss something ?

@Vokun Vulon - You may want to check out the [QoL] Radio Spectrometry mod. It's pretty much made for such situations as you can just make a turret controller device or even mount it to the front of a small scout ship, and examine distant asteroids without needing to actually even go there. Once you identify a target, go closer with an ore detector to see the exact location.

The main issue with larger ore detection ranges is that they do impact performance and result in a massive amount of clutter on the screen. I've tried it in the past and it wasn't fun. So this combined with that mod would likely suit your needs well.

I know this is a + version, but I'm setting up a large scale solar system and apparently literally no ore detector range mod works aside from yours, which is a plus as anything animated is a better option, but could there be a stupid version of this, like 5km small nd 10km large, even then people will probably need to do some travelling to cover certain sections, I have belt and chains around some planets that span quite the distance, and a poor little small grid miner would have such a chore finding their target with these ranges

@Gremory Please try to manually add the cosmetic version, then this version, then the collection. That should preserve the load order going in. I'll change this version to be dependant on the cosmetic version soon.

This dose not work with the animation collection.The collection overrides it with the cosmetic only version. even if you unsubscribe from the cosmetic one it is still overwritten.
