Introduction

In this guide I will show you how to setup GZdoom to launch with Steam.

Download GZdoom

First You Need To Download GZdoom, you can download GZdoom from the Zdoom website.

Installing GZdoom

First you need to extract the GZdoom zip file, then open Steam click on Doom (1993), Click the gears icon, click on manage, and the browse local files. Before continuing make a backup of the Base folder. The copy the files from the GZdoom zip file to the Base directory, delete the file named dosbox.exe and rename gzdoom.exe to dosbox.exe.

How to Run it.

To run it click play and select the Dos Version.

I agree, but this guide is outdated and hasn't been updated since almost a year before UZdoom was even in development (This guide is from before Doom 1+2 released). I think I'll make a updated guide UZdoom since you reminded me, though I haven't actually used UZdoom since I've been using Woof instead of anything zDoom based for a while due to it running better and having some setting I enjoy like colored blood and dynamic crosshairs.
