Welcome to the Game II is a first-person horror game developed by Reflect Studios. In the game, the player takes on the role of a journalist who has the task of finding 8 keys scattered across various pages of the deep web. The game begins with the player character, a journalist, attempting to uncover the secrets of the Shadow Web. The player must use their computer to navigate through various websites, solve puzzles, and gather information while avoiding detection by hackers and other threats. As the player progresses, the game becomes progressively more difficult and terrifying, with new threats and challenges at every turn.

The game itself provides little information on the various game mechanics, making it difficult to complete the game without a guide. The goal of this guide is to explain all possible aspects of the game, so that both beginners and veterans have the opportunity to learn something new and master the game.

Let's start. Wttg2 can take several hours, and remember that if you make a mistake, such as getting caught by the police or losing too many Dscoins through hacker attacks, you can restart immediately or, in the case of the police, your game progress will be completely deleted.

If you are a beginner, I would advise you to do the tutorial with Adam. Do not reject his call for this. You will even get a trophy for it. Furthermore, I would recommend the various documents located in the middle of your desktop. These explain all the enemies and hacks briefly.

• You can enter the Screen by pressing the Left-Mouse button or simply Left-Click.

• Here, you can use your mouse to open the different programs by clicking on them.

• You can connect to a Wi-Fi network by clicking on the Wi-Fi symbol and then selecting one of the available networks. You will have at least one free Wi-Fi network per Wi-Fi dongle slot.

• For some networks, you will need a password. To connect, simply click on the network, enter the password in the field, and click "connect" again.

• You can shut down your computer using the "power off" symbol.

• You can disable the sound played by different websites using the volume symbol, but this is strongly discouraged as you will not be able to hear the motion alert later on.

• In some cases, your computer may shut down. In this case, you need to press the button located on the right side of your computer. After that, your computer should turn back on.

As previously stated, at the beginning, there is at least one free accessible WiFi on every WiFi stick. However, in order to access better, more secure, and faster networks, you must hack the passwords for them. This is done as follows:

Open up Skybreak after buying it from the 0day Market. You are able to buy it at the beginning of the game because it will only cost you 8 DOS-COINS

Now follow the same stepps as showen in the following pictures:

• type: "WEP" and press ENTER

• type: "SCAN" and press ENTER

• Now you are able to see every accessable Wifi network that can be reached from the place where your Wifi stick is placed.

• Choose one of the Wifi BSSID and type: "probe BSSID 1 500" or in this case = "probe SE:2K:98:QY:BK 1 500" and then press ENTER.

• In some cases, the port may be out of range. In this case, you need to change the numbers after "BSSID" from 1 500 to 500 1000. The port key can only be located between 1 and 1000. It does not save any time to enter 1 1000 at the beginning since the network could kick you out, so do not do it.

• type: "CRACK BSSID CH PORT KEY" or in my case "CRACK 5E:2K:98:QY:BK 8 628. The CH or in my case the 8 can be found next to the BSSID. The Number is NOT randomly generated so the CH of this Wifi "D5" will always be 8.

• if you have done everything correct, you should get the password. Just click on the Wifi icon,type the password in the text field and click "connect"

• If you need help, you can simply enter "help" into the search bar of Skybreak and the program will show you all the important commands.

• How many WiFis should I crack? It depends. You can play the entire game without cracking any WiFis. However, keep in mind that the risk of being tracked by the police and having your room raided significantly increases. Cracked WiFis are much faster than the free ones and are much safer in terms of the police as you can stay online with them for a longer time. You should crack at least 2 WiFis. I always play with 3 cracked WiFis. I would also recommend getting them relatively early on.

During the game, you will be hacked multiple times. There are ways to prevent this and increase the likelihood of not being hacked. You can practice the three different hacks on your desktop. You should do this as there is a possibility that your DOS COINS may be stolen in the event of an unguarded hack.

• During the hack, you are NOT SAFE. This means that you might miss Lucas during the hack or the NOIR could spawn. Many people say that two events cant happen simultaneously, meaning that Lucas and the hack cannot be active at the same time. 1. NOIR could have spawned BEFORE the hack, which makes them a threat to you, and 2. do not trust this statement. There are so many bugs in the game, and I have personally witnessed two enemies spawning at the same time (2 events). So while the intro of the hacking attack is happening, look around your entire room to make sure there is no NOIR present.

There are three Stages. The first one is the intro that is telling you, that you are being hacked.

The second one determines how difficult/complex the hack will be. If you hit all the red lines correctly, then your hack will be very easy. However, if you miss all the spots, you will get a difficult hack. In general, the harder the countered hack is, the more DOS-COINS you will get through the backdoor hack.

The third one is the hacking phase. One out of three different hacks will be randomly started. As I said, you can practice them on youre desktop. please do so.

You should have an eye on your amount of backdoor hacks you have. If you dont got any, you wont get any DOS-COINS from preventing hacks, so please have an eye on it, they only cost 1 DOS-COIN.
You can increase the chance of getting hacked by visiting sites that could contain viruses like "Drony Spy" or any suspisious looking website.
You can decrase the chance by buying the VWIPE from the 0day Market or buying VPNS.

You want DOS-COINS for your Setup against Lucas and for the Key Cue. The DOS-COINS that are generated by the Remote VPNS wont be enough for you to buy all those things, so you have to get the most of your DOS-COINS by preventing hacks with the backdoor hack.

there is a easy but dangerous way to get "forced hack". just follow these steps:

• Make your A.N.N. Browser tiny and put in near the Wifi symbol.

• Conncet to an Wifi (preferable an free Wifi because it will be much faster)

• refresh a link

• dis- and reconnect your Wifi

• Repeat

But watchout because...

The Police can track you with a higher chance and there might be a higher chance that Lucas/NOIR are visiting you more often. So pay attention to your surroundings.

Lets say you disconnect from the wifi and you are going down to the alley to get your packages. There is a chance that if you are offline for 80-100 seconds and you take and place the Wi-Fi stick, you will be hacked as soon as you reconnect to the internet.

You can find the keys on the various pages accessible through the A.N.N. browser. Each page has a certain probability of hiding a key, except on dead links pages/unable to connect sites.

The Key can be found...

• on every website except on dead pages or the deep wiki homepage. (yes, they can spwan on the Doll Maker page, should be a big no no unless its your only option).

Where are the keys located?

• Thats the tricky part, unless you dont bought the key cue, you have to find the key by your own. The Key spawns randomly on the different sites, so there isnt any pattern, that can be memorised. The Key can often be found in somewhere in the source code, on images or some words could be keys.
  
• the best way is to hoover your mouse over every image, words and source code. Thats the reason you should get the key cue, its almost impossible to find every key without it.

How does the Key look like?

• There are eight keys. Each key starts with a number from 1 to 8. This way, you can see at which position it appears (first, second, etc.). After that, there is a hyphen (-) and a random combination of letters and numbers. Here is an example of where I found a key.

Deep Wiki II

• The Deep Wiki II is just like the one we start with, except it got different websites. You need to find this link in order to access more websites. The Link can be found somewhere in the source code at any webiste.

Rumour

Some People are saying that the link to the second Deep Wiki can spawn on the first page that you open or on the first page at the Wiki.

Deep Wiki III

• if you have access to the second Deep Wiki you can find a site called "The Rule of Three". Its a puzzle website, where you have to press different buttons in order to get the link to the third Deep Wiki page. You have to press the circles in their correct order. If you dont managage to do so the pressed buttons will be reseted, so you have to start at the beginning again. If you refresh the site the right order of the circles will be reseted as well so DONT refresh the website. You should take notes in order to keep track of the right combination.

In this room, you will spend the majority of the game. Therefore, it is very important to know all the features and mechanics of the room.

The Desk

• You can exit and enter full screen mode with a left-click. If your computer shuts down due to a power outage or virus, you can press the button on the right side of the screen to turn it back on. From here, you can also look out the window to your right.

Closet/Shower

• If Lucas comes, you can hide from him in the closet or in the shower. You can also peek from your hiding spot, but I dont recommend it.

Light switches
In your room, there are a total of 5 light switches located in the following places...

• ...next to the Exit Door.
  
• ...next to the Closet.
  
• ...next to the Fridge.
  
• ...inside the Bathroom.
  
• ...next to the Bathroom Door.

Flashlight

• The power goes out once every hour. In this case, you will need the flashlight to navigate safely through the hallway to the circuit breaker. The flashlight is located on the nightstand next to the bed.

Balcony Door

• This Door leads to the Balcony. From here, you can enter the stairwell. You can place your Remote VPN in this Area.

Bathroom Door

• This Door leads to the Bathroom. You can switch off the Light Switch here and you can hide yourself in the Shower.

Exit Door
This Door leads to the Hallway. You can lock it up by pressing right click on the Door handle and you can press left click on the Peephole to peek to the hallway. But keep in mind...

• ...The Noir can spawn outside your door.
  
• ... Lucas can insta kill you if it happens that he is there.
  
• ... The Doll Maker will show up if you have visited his page and hear loud music.

Next to your room, there are other places that you will have to go through during the course of the game

• When you leave your room, you are in the hallway. The path to the right leads to the elevator, which you cannot use and should AVOID, as it may cause a bug that ruins your entire run. The path to your left leads to the stairwell. You can install your remote VPN here, as well as in the other corridors. In each end of the Hallway should be a motion sensor placed. One near the Elevator and the other near the Stairwell. In combination with the motion alert, you can track Lucas and prepare for his visit. However, you are not safe in the corridor, as the Noir can be anywhere at any time.

• Once Lucas has spawned, you may encounter him at any time in the hallway or other locations. Therefore, in the later stages of the game, you should avoid leaving your apartment as much as possible, especially when your motion alert goes off or you hear lockpicking sounds.
  
  
• You cannot prevent these random encounters. If you run into Lucas, it's over and you have to start from the beginning.

After following the path from the hallway and opening the door, you have arrived in the stairwell. From here, you can access the maintenance room, the other corridors, or the lobby. Access to the other corridors allows you to find a good spot for your remote VPN, but you can also place it in the stairwell itself.

If the power goes out, you can turn the electricity back on here

Follow the path to get to the alley. If you want to do the Doll Maker quest, you have to go to the computer at the reception with the Lolpy disc that you bought beforehand.

Follow the path straight ahead to collect your packages with a left-click. The packages always spawn in the same location. If you ordered multiple packages at once, they will be stacked or placed next to each other. However, you can only order the same products once. Therefore, you need to go down to the alley at least twice for the two motion sensors. On the right side, there is a small room behind a heavy metal door that serves as a hiding place to counter the Breather. More details about the room can be found in the Breather section.

For the first 15 real-life minutes, which is 30 in-game minutes, you are safe. (10:30 p.m./ 22:30)
After that, you can and will have to confront the various threats of the game.

"The two Noir followers are a Caucasian man and woman, both dressed in the same attire of a black t-shirt, black pants, white sneakers, and a plastic white mask. The man has a buzzcut while the woman's hair is done up in a ponytail, and they're both brunettes. During the course of the game, it becomes clear that the masked Noir are the main antagonists. Nothing will haunt you as often as the Noir. The Noir observe the player from various locations. In my experience, these are the most common places where the Noir appear:

• at the Window left to your desk
  
• at the Balcony (They can spawn quit different there. He can spawn in such a way that you can see him from the desk chair, but also in a way that you have to go to the exit door to see him. I will address this later.)
  
• in your room (more often if the electricity gets shut off)
  
• in the Hallway
  
• in the Ally behind the fence
  
• behind every door

If you see him, turn around and count to 15. (I know the game says to count to 30, but that's just wrong). If you don't turn around or don't notice him, he'll kill you and send you to the game over screen. If you notice him and go back to your computer, that counts as a successful defense

If you find more keys, the Noir will become more aggressive and visit you more frequently. If you find a key, they will open the window next to your desk. You can use this as an indicator if there is a key on that side.

Important. The Noir become more aggressive the more lights you turn off. Keep in mind that turning off 1 or 2 lights will make the Noir more aggressiveand they will spawn more frequent. This brings me back to the "balcony spawn" from earlier. When I had all the lights on, the Noir frequently spawned either at the window or on the balcony, where I could see them from my chair. But when I turned off one light for several runs, the Noir spawned more frequently on the balcony in a way that I couldn't see them from my desk. I'm not sure if turning off lights additionally affects the spawn behavior of the Noir, but keep it in mind.

Furthermore, the Noir can spawn behind any door or in the corridors. Therefore, you should never run through doors. In concept, the Noir can always spawn behind you. That means: you install a motion sensor, turn around, and at that moment, it can be standing in front of you. So, remember that the Noir can theoretically always be behind you.


Encountering The Breather in the Ally is a daunting challenge for players, as he is a formidable opponent who can quickly dispatch them with his powerful attacks. Despite being confined to this specific area, he remains a significant threat throughout the game, capable of ruining a player's progress if they are not careful. In fact, even if a player manages to make it to the middle or late game and decides to order a package, they must be aware that The Breather can still pose a serious obstacle to their success.

When you are in the alley, pause for a few seconds and listen for sound cues.

• If you hear laughter, breathing, or footsteps, quickly run to the room mentioned earlier. Wait for 20 seconds. If you hear more footsteps during this time, prepare to hold onto the door handle as The Breather will try to slowly open the door 6 to 8 times. To fend him off, you must hold the door closed at that moment, but keep in mind that you have a stamina gauge and can only hold it for a certain amount of time. If you're too slow, he will kill you. If you hear footsteps again, wait another 20 seconds to make sure he is really gone, as he may be faking it.
  
  
• If you don't hear anything, it's easy to assume that The Breather isn't around, but it's important to remain cautious. He may be waiting for you to pick up the package before making his move. To avoid falling victim to his deadly ambush, it's best to always follow the previously described procedure. This means going into the room, waiting for 20 seconds to ensure that The Breather is not nearby, picking up the package, returning to the room and waiting for another 20 seconds before heading back towards the lobby.

By following this procedure, you can significantly reduce your chances of encountering The Breather and increase your chances of surviving the game. Keep in mind that The Breather is a formidable opponent and can strike at any moment, so always be on your guard and don't let your guard down, even if you think you're safe

We all hate him.

Lucas is widely regarded as the most difficult opponent you'll face in this game. His exact appearance time is a topic of much debate among players, with various theories circulating about when he might appear. Some claim he'll show up from 0:00 am, while others insist he only appears from 1:00 am onwards. There are even those who believe he'll only come if your window is open.

• It's important to keep in mind that Lucas is a highly unpredictable enemy, and his appearances may not follow any set pattern. However, it's generally best to err on the side of caution and assume that he could appear from either 0:00 or 1:00 am.
  
  
• A must-have for any successful run is a proper setup against Lucas. While Lucas does make noise as he tries to break into your room (and by the way, if you don't lock your door, Lucas can instantly kill you), the time it takes for him to reach you may not be enough for you to take the necessary measures. To counter this, it's recommended to purchase two motion sensors and place them strategically as I described earlier. In addition, you can also buy a motion alert that will sound an alarm if Lucas is on his way to your location.
  
  
• Lucas' primary objective is to kill you. If he manages to break into your office and finds you, he will attack you without hesitation. However, if you're quick enough to hide in one of the designated safe spots, he will start searching the room for you. While he's doing this, he will also delete any notes you've taken during the game as well as your hard-earned DOS COINS.

When you hear Lucas walking away, don't let your guard down too quickly. He may be trying to trick you into leaving your hiding spot so he can catch you off guard. Wait a few extra seconds to make sure he's really gone before you venture out of your hiding spot. It's always better to be safe than sorry when dealing with Lucas.

As previously mentioned, there is a chance that Lucas can kill you while roaming outside your room. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do to prevent this from happening except for hoping for the best.

This section is about enemies that can send you to the game over screen, but shouldn't be as dangerous to you.

• If you stay too long in the same network or force manual hacks, the police will come to arrest you. Unless you have a police scanner, there will be no indication of whether they are on their way. Once they are there, there is nothing you can do against them. They will track you down and apprehend you.
  
• However, countering the police is relatively easy. Switch to a different Wi-Fi network every 9-10 in-game minutes for free networks, and for cracked networks, you can stay online a bit longer. Also, be careful with manually forcing hacks. If you do this too often, it will also trigger the police. Remember, cracked networks are safer than the ones you start with.

The Doll Maker cannot simply spawn on his own. If you visit the Doll Maker website, there is a chance that he will spawn. If you have visited the site and are hearing loud music, then he is active. Since the Doll Maker website can contain a key, it is possible that you may have to complete his quest.

• Sirens mean the police are coming. No, the police don't announce their arrival. There are many sounds in the game that don't mean anything and are just meant to distract the player.
  
• Turning off all the lights is not a good idea, as it triggers the Noir and makes them more aggressive.
  
• Footsteps don't necessarily mean Lucas is coming; he only announces his presence with the sound of lockpicking.
  
• Two events can and often do happen at the same time
  
• The hacking minigame at the beginning of each hack does not determine how many DOS-COINS you receive. The system is too inconsistent for that; it mainly affects how difficult the hack will be.
  
• You have to notice the Noir to prevent killing him you
  
• Green remote VPN spots are not always good; there are green spots that can still be bad

It's worth creating a route or rough plan of when you want to achieve certain objectives. To give you an example of what this might look like, I've written down my own route here. It's not perfect, but it works for me.

Goals: Crack 2 Wifis; Get a green Remote VPN spot; Prepare for Lucas; Farm DOS-COINS
Checklist:
1. End Adams call.
2. Click on 0day Market
3. End Adams second call
4. Buy yourself 2 Backdoor Hacks and skybreak
5. Turn off Light Switches by the kitchen and in the Bathroom
6. Grab the Flashlight
7. Go to the Alley and pick up your Remote VPN
8. Go back to your Room
9. Place the Remote VPN on a green spot
10. Go back to your Room and lock the Door
11. Get back to your Computer

12. Connect to a dead link page
13. Disconnect your Wifi (manuell hack)
14. Crack the 2 Wifi Networks
15. Note the passwords down on a extra document outside your game
16. Try the force hack (Pick up the wifi dongle/sick and place it again at the same location)

19. Try to be hacked again (refresh dead link site; disconnect; connect; refresh;...)
20. You should have made enough money to buy another Remote VPN and maybe the first motion sensor

You need 3 Items. a second Remote VPN and two motion sensors. You can go down three times with the thoughts of wasting time to get three times the force hack (could be very risky. the Police could track you down). You can go down three times but it would be safer if you try to minimise it to only two times.

8. Open up "Rule of Three"

11. If you have enough DOS-COINS buy the Key Cue and the VWipe in case you catched a Virus
12. You can get the rest of the DOS-COINS by blocking hacks or you can get the third Remote VPN its up to you

The key cue displays in the bottom right corner whether there is a key on the page or not. Important: If a page consists of multiple sub-pages, you have to individually visit each of these sub-pages to make sure whether the page contains a key or not.
