By default, only the FSR 1/2 upscaling available in the game.

Using the REFramework, you can enable and use both DLSS and XESS.
But here I will tell you only about DLSS.

Easy steps.

Guide.
Comparison image u can see there[imgsli.com]!

  1. Download ReFramework here here[drive.google.com]
  2. Extract dinput8.dll from the zip file into your RE4 game install folder.
  3. Download UpscalerBasePlugin here[drive.google.com] and here[www.nexusmods.com] and drop the .dll it into
    RESIDENT EVIL 4\reframework\plugins

  4. Download the DLSS.dll here [www.techpowerup.com]. I recommend download the 2.5.1 ver. instead of 3.x.x ver. etc, cuz ghosting.
  5. Put nvngx_dlss.dll into
    RESIDENT EVIL 4\reframework\plugins

  6. Start the game.
  7. On ur left u can see the ReFramework menu, it can be toggled with the "Insert" key. The key can be changed under "Configuration".
  8. In menu u can see TemporalUpscaling article. Click and now you need toggle Enbale and after u can choose the DLSS quality level. Choose what you need.

  9. U need just also toggle Upscale and Jitter (but i reccomend use DLAA, cuz scopes are pixelated wo\dlaa). Sharpness at ur discretion.
DLAA gives better quality, but liiiitle bit less fps.
  10. Enjoy ur sharper image and greater fps.

konradfun is a clown, just because you can't figure it out, doesn't mean its useless. Figure it out and make your own guide if you don't like Fan4eG's guide

Doesn't work. Update the guide or delete it

I installed 1.1.2 and nothing was changed.

I don't have an "TemporalUpscaling" article. How can I see it?

I can concur Doctor Maruki (thiagom123)'s statement that we will need UpscalerBasePlugin version 1.1.2 instead of the newest one or it won't be recognized.

In general, as far as I know, it's weird that a REALLY old version of the plugin worked for you. it's not as heavily optimized and can cause bugs.

but if it works, why not?

Thank for the guide. I also needed to install the version 1.1.2 of UpscalerBasePlugin for the process to work!

Thanks for this man, 1.1.2 worked for me too!
nioju I dont get blurry HUD with DLAA, but DLSS. Are you using DLSS? DLSS lowers resolution then upscales it, which might cause the HUD to be blurry.

With this version 1.1.2 it worked.
However, I encountered some problems, but I believe it is something with the upscaler itself. Such as: the entire HUD becomes blurry when the player moves, artifacts with DLSS and Reshade is disabled (unfortunately).

I just found a solution for this. The issue seems to be related to the last version of UpscalerBasePlugin. I'm using version 1.1.2, and everything is working fine now
