Gemstones

Beskrivelse
Gemstones have been known about for a long time, and since Gold is in the game, why aren't Diamonds or any other Gemstones in general? Well no longer, Gemstones are now in the game. Many Gemstones are more expensive than Gold, all smaller Gemstone deposits are completely undiscovered at the start of Victoria 3 (If it's max size is above 10, it's got a single discovered Field), as of right now Gemstone deposits are limited to the locations that I could track down as having those Gemstones. Gemstones are Luxury Goods and thus are part of Luxury Needs, this version of the mod integrates my mod which makes Gold more valuable.

Incompatible with mods that override the map. Because I can't add Gemstone deposits otherwise.

I have been told about the Compare plugin, and I am going to puke from the India file.

They changed all the map data except for Indonesia and Central America. Update will be delayed until I'm mentally prepared to tackle that beast.

Nice mod, but I noticed that fifth lead mine's production method produces iron ore instead of lead ore.

I would love to playtest, but currently I'm stuck with an asshole design tv which is overscanning the image output from my pc, meaning I can only play Fallout 4, which doesn't lose vital information due to this travesty, or Stellaris which overrides the tv's asshole design so that it doesn't overscan and I can actually see the full screen.

@hasanman22, from a quick look around, I do not see anything that would create an incompatibility between the two mods.

@Beric Dondarrion, this is an immersion mod, I just started with Gemstones. And Refuse is part of that immersion. You don't seem to be questioning why I added *Microplastics* after all.

@Durthulus, don't know why your comment didn't send me a notification, but the Refuse good does have a function, it represents *Trash*, the name of the mod is 'Gemstones' but this is an Immersion mod I have building up, and you want to know what Refuse does? It can be used by the Military to practice aiming, and it can be turned into a bunch of other raw material goods by recycling it. It's also used in the Famine Foods Popneed (Food popneed from 1-4) to represent people eating trash because they can't afford normal food.

How it is destroying any economy is confusing though, since it's produced in such a high quantity that it could only be an issue late game, since it's produced at a rate of 1 refuse:1000 workers.

Hi @Hyperspearman.Swf-TheRyuSword,

First I just want to say, you have some really good ideas and skills! However, I'm not sure why you went so far as to add things like "refuse". I think you could benefit a lot from splitting your mod up (into several separate mods) since this mod is WAY more expansive than just a "Gemstones" focused-mod at this point.
I made a standalone "lite" mod on my personal PC based on your mod files, it was easy enough to do as I said previously, you've done a good job here and I really enjoy some of the thought process. I've been testing the mod edit to fine tune the balance but seriously, just having the "Diamonds" trade good as well as the associated buildings and pop needs would be a great mod on its own.
Is this something you'd approve, if I potentially release a standalone mod, while giving you the proper credit, or would you be more interested in developing it? Please let me know. Thank you and again I really appreciate your work here.
