Weapons:

Best to worst for PvE: Light = Water > Wind > Nyature (situational) > Fire = Dark.

Light: Petrifying (aside from Diangelion’s Abyss Sniper) doesn’t take up freezing hits, so mew can use it after the 3rd freezing in Rosso Raid to “prolong” it. Nyot as reliable as actual freezing if your class has nyo multi hit commands/actives, since it’s based on RNG. Also used in Berthe Raid for petrifying bosses in 15-5 and 15-6-1 at 150 bars. In 15-6-1, if the boss gets petrified before 150 bars, mew can use banned skills.
Elements in general can be procced by anything that deals gray damage (commands, Actives, certain pets, weapons, costumes, titles… anything that deals damage to spikes/cages in raid), so it’s highly nyot recommended to just randomly slap Light on your weapon. You have to be careful to not accidentally proc it when mew don’t want to, this means being cautious of commands/Actives you’re using, unsummoning certain pets, unequipping certain costumes, etc.

Water: usable for some minor support value against endgame bosses if mew need defense reduction.

Wind: for classes with strong commands/actives. It can help breaking spikes and cages in raids. This is also the only element that isn't a debuff.

Nyature: for min-maxing Lord Azoth, attributing a weapon with Nyature gives an extra way of poisoning enemies. Poisoning IV doesn’t increase the debuff’s duration, but it has the highest activation chance.

Fire/Dark: provide nyothing useful in PvE.

Mew could combine Water with Wind or Light; however, you’re losing the effectiveness of higher levels.

Armor: Nyowadays, nyone of the elements are nyaecessary in PvE. The only exceptions being Comet Crusader, who gets Special Active Skill Damage Increase when total resistance exceeds 1000, thanks to his Elemental Training passive, Flame Lord, who gets Magical Damage increase from Fire Resistance through Awakened Will passive or run Denif MR dungeon religiously, mew can attribute Water resistance (only for convenience, nyo need to attribute if mew do it once in a while or want to save money).
