The X trilogy (1) (2) is by far my favourite horror franchise in recent years. Although fairly niche within the horror community, Mia Goth has left her mark portraying Pearl, creating an excellent villain. The X franchise would be a fun addition to Dead by Daylight's licensed killer and survivor range, being able to provide unique new gameplay and aesthetics opportunities.

- Capabilities
You hide your true self to keep yourself safe, but sooner or later people start to see what you're capable of. For each survivor you down a totem is lit.
(1) Totems; Survivors sprint vault speed is decreased
(2) Totems; Survivors movement speed is decreased
(3) Totems; Survivors gain exposed status
Following the use of 3rd lit totem, the entity snuffs each lit totem

- A Star
The entity sees your shining potential paired with your burning determination, for each survivor that goes into the second phase of the sacrifice, this perk gains a token. At 4 tokens, the entity recognises your efforts and grants the ability to kill one survivor at your hands.

- Ambition
your desperation feeds ambition to get what's yours, when exit gates are powered you receive a 10% base movement speed boost and aura of survivors opening exit gates.

Power
Pearl wants to be loved by the world, but is limited by her own murderous tenancies. Her farm experience as well as her passion to dance gives her an advantage over her victims

hatred;
Activated as Pearl marks a survivor using her special ability (1), Pearl's aura is revealed to the survivor marked with jealousy for a short time and pearl sets into a fast pace (60% her typical movement speed). If Pearl injures the marked survivor within the the time frame, Pearl loses her fast pace and the marked survivor's aura is revealed to Pearl. Unmarked survivors are then inflicted with the exposed status until Pearl hooks the marked survivor or downs an unmarked one.
Special Ability (1); Jealousy Activating this ability marks a survivor of your choice within your view with the jealousy status effect
Special Ability (2);The Audition Each survivor you down while in hatred fills a meter, once filled it is time for Pearl's performance, once activated every survivor is inflicted with exposed and generators not being worked on begin to regress at a increased rate.

In my opinion, a DBD killer is a crucial aspect to their character and design. It represents who they are and services their story and in the case of licensed killers, the media in which they're from.

For Pearl's Mori, I would take from Mitzi's death scene in the movie, it's easily the most iconic moment from the trilogy and it would be a shame not to see it in a collaboration like this.
Although to adjust this for the game I'd have survivors more involved in the animation. Potentially showing their arms in struggle, unique to each survivor, adding the charm that is exclusive to Dead by Daylight; seeing our favourite movie character in our favourite game.

- X-Factor
You have something special, something others want to take. When you are the killers obsession action speed will be increased. Including generator repair speed (15%), base walking speed, running (inc. vault and locker) speed, cleansing speed and opening gates speed. When you are downed, the killers obsession changes.

- Sex Symbol
People miss out when they can't see. When you blind the killer, you burst into a short sprint leaving no scratch marks. Cannot be used in exhaustion state.

'You're a fu**ing sex symbol' - Maxine

- Lemonade/Invitation
You deal well in tense situations. When injured in chase, you leave no scratch marks and make no grunts of pain. Cannot be activated while in state of exhaustion.

Howard's farm was a terrific setting for the first 2 films, it was amazing to see the difference of upkeep of the farm between 'X' and 'Pearl'. For the maps in this chapter, one map would show the pristine farm from 'Pearl' in a technicolor filter during daylight. The second map would be a variation of this showing a much more dilapidated farm as seen in 'X', during night.

Although many chapters (including licensed ones) before have gone without having its own playable realm, I think that these maps would really enhance this chapter with its thrilling environments from the movies. The farm from 'Pearl' looks like it was ripped straight from The Wizard of Oz and it truly would add to the horror, the juxtaposition of bright colours with Pearl's unsettling presence looked horrifying on the big screen and I think would look just as amazing in gameplay.

Pearl; Character Info
From a young age Pearl knew something from her was missing, something others had that she didn't. Feelings of pain, jealousy and longing tore up inside her. She longed for something more, something more than the life she'd always have. All she wanted was to be loved by the world.

But the truth is, Pearl wasn't a good person. On the surface she seemed sweet, but not even far beneath her skin lay bitterness that was through to the core. Pearl's desperation is something that would quickly make this onion peel , the murderous things she'd do to get what she saw as hers, what she wanted; no what she NEEDED. It was never hard to see what Pearl was capable of. But hidden away, no one got the chance to see.

sitting beside a church her name is called. she stands, surrounded by darkness putting everything she has left into a single performance. As the curtains open; four eyes on her, piercing through the skin, left exposed.

But the performance, it goes well. but she, she isn't good enough. Have they seen? At this point her painful bitterness reaches surface.

She sits across from her, someone she longs to be. There's nothing left to hide, and as she, the longing, turns to run she grabs an axe and soon follows. As her victim lays helpless beneath the wooden arch, begging for mercy. The part of her that was always missing has been filled, she's making the best of what she has.

And as her victim goes cold beneath her, The Fog quickly envelops her. Pearl knows where she belongs.

Maxine Minx; Character info
Daughter of a preacher, Maxine's paths in life were limited. Grow up, get married, have kids, it wasn't the life for her but she had little choice over the matter.

At age 20 she left it all behind for Houston, Texas where she would end up becoming a dancer at your average 'club'. Hardly her end-goal, but it was something better and a step in the right direction. Here she would meet a nerdy film maker fixed on making what he called a 'good dirty movie', not seeing it for much, Maxine saw it for what it could be, a one way ticket to Hollywood. The place she really wanted to be.

This ticket to success was far from what she could have expected. A night between shoots quickly turned to horror with her fellow cast, her friends quickly being picked off one by one. She never asked for this, she was just fighting for the life she deserved.

As the last one standing she turned the keys in the ignition, she was going to be ok. But the wave of relief was short-lived as a thick fog came down over the car, as it cleared she was somewhere new, somewhere unfamiliar and she knew this night of horror was far from over

If you have made it this far, I thank you! This guide is something I've been thinking of writing for a while now and I'm happy to be able to share it with the DBD community. I know this concept is far-fetched, considering the 'X' franchise is fairly small, but I at least wanted to put the idea out there.

Even if this concept is far from realistic, I still hope to discuss it as an idea with you all, if you have any ideas or suggestions of what else could be cool in a 'X' themed chapter, be sure to share your ideas!
