There is also a big factor, being how your teammate/opps feel at that time. What they are going through, some people might be facing big stress/issues/loss IRL and just want to take their head out of it and play a game. But this might result in them performing lower than their ELO and also having a harder time getting back up because they already feel bad. So if you would in that case try to support or at least not flame them they might have a chance to have a feeling of being allowed to let go of their stress and actually get back into the game.

If I get in a game, make our team concede 3 goals and miss 2 open-nets while not even saying "Sorry" once or give any other form of acknowledgement, you should reconsider q-ing in the first place, cuz obv u werent/arent creating a good playing environment.
Imo this post lacks mentioning on "passive toxicity", where people just dont give af about other people, without actually being toxic verbally or in-game.

Not noticing that this exists and that its big contributor to the problem itself, toxicity itself wont be resolved anytime soon.
There needs to be some sort of mutual respect otherwise, what are you even doing?
