Benefits of Being Kind in Rocket League - By AI
Rocket League is a game that people play to have fun and enjoy themselves. When players are toxic towards others, it can ruin the game for everyone involved.

Being toxic means behaving in a negative or aggressive way towards others. This could include insulting them, being rude, or generally making the experience unpleasant for other players.

It's important to remember that when you play Rocket League, you are playing with real people who have feelings just like you. Being toxic can hurt their feelings and make them feel like they don't want to play anymore. This not only ruins their experience, but it also ruins the game for you and other players.

Being kind and respectful to others in Rocket League can actually benefit you in a number of ways. When you are positive and supportive towards your teammates, they are more likely to play well and help you win. This can make the game more fun and enjoyable for everyone involved.

In addition, being toxic towards others can actually hurt your own performance. When you are focused on being negative and insulting others, you are not focusing on the game itself. This can cause you to make mistakes and not play as well as you could.

Overall, being toxic towards other players in Rocket League is not beneficial for anyone. It can ruin the game for everyone involved and hurt your own performance. Being kind and respectful to others can make the game more fun and enjoyable for everyone, including yourself.

Yo @naap848, I understand your take. It's a complex thing. As we all know everyone is different which means that everyone deals with things in their own way. Some might say sorry, some might feel too bad to say sorry, others might not even be aware that "they" made a mistake. Then you also have people who just have their chat turned off..

There is also a big factor, being how your teammate/opps feel at that time. What they are going through, some people might be facing big stress/issues/loss IRL and just want to take their head out of it and play a game. But this might result in them performing lower than their ELO and also having a harder time getting back up because they already feel bad. So if you would in that case try to support or at least not flame them they might have a chance to have a feeling of being allowed to let go of their stress and actually get back into the game.

Now I understand that you might've put a lot of time and effort into reaching a certain goal but don't let the grind trick you into being toxic against a person who you experience as passive-toxic while this person might just be having a bad start/day/life. Because you might never know where a kind approach towards your teammate might bring you eventhough he/she might seem like is doing it on purpose. I just personally think that the odds of your teammate queueing just to throw the game on purpose is very slim. But the odds do grow the worser the vibe gets ofcourse.

If me or the teammate/s come/s into the game with the attitude of idgaf, majority around them will start to/ wont give af.

If I get in a game, make our team concede 3 goals and miss 2 open-nets while not even saying "Sorry" once or give any other form of acknowledgement, you should reconsider q-ing in the first place, cuz obv u werent/arent creating a good playing environment.

Imo this post lacks mentioning on "passive toxicity", where people just dont give af about other people, without actually being toxic verbally or in-game.

A sort of "Its just a game so idc" mentality where ppl dont realise that other ppls time and effort went into getting somewhere in-game impacting everyone around them, without insults, harassment but just as much, while not as potent as active toxicity.

Not noticing that this exists and that its big contributor to the problem itself, toxicity itself wont be resolved anytime soon.

There needs to be some sort of mutual respect otherwise, what are you even doing?
