The information is based on extreme condition difficulty and cover most but not all of the early-mid game events. Certain events are linked together and give greater rewards if done correctly!

Who is the intended audience?
The guide is for everyone, but much friendlier to new players. Everything will be explained to be on the same level as those who are the most experienced. The writing will be easy to follow with plenty of screenshots for those who are too lazy to read everything!
How to Save Good Event Progress
The Save & Quit option must be used only if the best event outcome is achieved.

Otherwise, use Quit/Alt & F4 for every negative result.
Freyja (Blue Woman)
The first visit can successfully be done by Kari to obtain early Ancient Knowledge and +5 scavenging!
On second visit, have Eirik choose these options Freyja, Vanir, and Njörd to gain +5 wisdom.

On third visit, she heals all states at base of 20% when given milk.

On 4th visit, she needs to bring 3 beads to continue and choose ""How much?" & "For a price" to get the most useful Greedy Trait (+10 intelligence) to pass more skill checks in future. The Bleak Canopy Bed should be done first beforehand since there is a -10 charisma penalty.

The other two options give Kola potions or Depression resist.
Special Linked Events For More Rewards
Specific choices at the two duo events (4 Total) give a much larger reward and benefits.
Mysterious Grave & Strange Lights
Do not open the Mysterious Grave gives a Blessing XP trait instead of Cursed and 27 depression healing at Strange Lights.

Moira needs to look for clues to level up her charisma to bypass some tribute events.

Kari can safely take the bones without penalty and get a permanent scavenge trait!
Floating Chest & Skull Tree
The Floating Chest needs to be examined first then buried to be dig up later at the Skull Tree for a much greater reward!
At the skull tree, Kari needs to first collect the most bones (4) and 10 rope. When digging the chest, she gets several fixed items but needs and roll for 3-4 meade and kola nuts.
Early Exploration
The events located at the bottom half of the island are considered to be early.
Mid-late game begins after passing the narrow land bridge where Bjorn's Camp is.

Locations can be known ahead of time and direction can be changed beforehand by not using the Save & Quit trick.
Mushrooms: Ancient Knowledge
Eirik needs to listen to the voices first for the early Ancient Knowledge!

Note: The +5 wisdom gain will only be detrimental to those who are power leveling.

Hunting can be saved for later when needed, preferably for 6th tribute.
Fruit Grove: Pelts & Fruit (For Tribute)
The character with highest hunting skill need to lie in wait and hunt for small game for very early pelts!
Kari needs to pick fruit and reach further into bush to get 3 Kola nuts.

Note: Gathering fruit must be saved on the day of 4th tribute to make the quota easier.
Dirty Clothing: Fabric & Kola Nuts
Kari searches for the owner first and examines the corpse to obtain as many as 4 Kola nuts.
Searching the dam just yields common wood and not high-quality Kola medicine.
She then takes all the clothing for the most fabric (10 is max)! Try again if the roll was bad.

Note: Vidar's shoes must be used on Cisse to reduce fatigue later on when he explores together.
Tinder Tree: Meade
Kari needs to harvest for more early experience and get as much as 4 Meads!
Gather the wood twice with character with most forestry skill for the most resources.
Ornate Coffer: Magic Pouch
Kari needs to pick lock and must roll for the magical pouch and 2 kola potions.
The pouch is for her use only as she is the only one who interacts with almost every exploration event and gain additional XP from harvesting.

Note: The amount of loot does not depend on scavenging skills and can be done much earlier.
Bickering Seagulls: +5 Hunting
Kari needs to attack them by successfully throwing pebbles to gain hunting experience!
Lost Shipment: Fire Crystal
Kari needs to search for the loot then search the sandbank.
An early fire crystal is obtained along with at least 2 foul potions!
Forgotten Purse: Magic Pouch
The character with highest hunger opens the purse for the magic pouch and the highest dried foods!
Kari needs the magic pouch to harvest more loot from the exploration events.
Kari can find more fabric when finding the owners and is secretly dependent on scavenging skills (tested with others)!
Sunken Longship: Rope & Bones
Kari needs to sshoot and kill the bird first before searching the wreckage.
High scavenging skill is needed to get 3 bones and 10 rope.

Lastly, 14 wood can be scavenged when taking apart the boat.
Sea Serpent Bones: Strength XP & Bones
Kari can take the Elven hammer first for the strength boost.

She should take the bones later when her scavenging skills are closer to max.
Wild Sheep: Power Leveling
The petting of sheep gives free depression healing for anyone who needs it.

Note: This event should not be completed as failed sheep catches are needed for power leveling.
Webbed Dark Hole: Ullr's Golden Arrow
Little Animals: Pelts & Bones
Kari needs to choose the option of hunt some to get 3 pelts, bones, and some meat.
Arrows can be safely obtained afterwards by stealing their food.

Note: Do not waste trap with the last option as they are needed to finish the story plot line.
Colossal Ox: +5 Strength
Kari needs to approach the Ox first and successfully lift him for +5 Strength!

Eirik needs to decipher the rune and leave immediately afterwards.

Kari then takes over to repeat attempts to successfully "Finish him off softly beforehand" since the other option gives depression. The desired loot is 2-3 Sage powders and butcher the ox for free meat.

Note: Rune examination is mandatory.
Rotten Bull Head: Weird Zooming Device
Kari searches the filth by putting her hand in the bag.

The rewards are double Weird Zooming Device that give +5 exploration each.

She can later collect the worms when scavenge skill is high enough and aim for worms poultice.
Abandoned Cart
Kari searches around for loot to get rare materials and try to roll for 4+ stones and 3+ sage ointments.
Abandoned Camp: Luck Charm
Kari needs to search the filth and try to get 2 Foul-smelling Potions and 2 Worms Poultice.
Another Luck Charm can be obtained after a successful inspection of the necklace!
Ravaged Camp: Pelts & Rope
Kari searches for survivors first and searches body to try to get 4 pelts.
Then, dismantle ravaged camp for wood and 8 rope.
Dismantle camp and try to get 8 rope.

Note: High scavenging skill is required before doing this event and preferably in the morning!
Fishing Spot: Luck Charm
Kari needs to hand catch 2 fish each time.
The most talented fisherman takes over to catch the bigger one for 5 fish (fixed) and avoid using the Mimir's Bracelet.
After completing all other options, Kari must obtain the Luck Charm when searching the waterbank. Such item allows her traits to focus more on combat instead of scavenge!
Sleeping Snake: Celandine Potions
Kari takes the bottle and roll for 3 of them.
Celandine is preferred for Elof during the 10th tribute.
Forgotten Barrel: Double Ointments
Kari needs to search around and successfully roll the barrel.
The desired loot are the most wood and 2 ointments of own choosing, preferably wormwood.
Ominous Gate
Anyone who is drunk can negate the medium depression when approaching the gate.
The gate needs to be crossed from backside to cure 18 depression and obtain the bead.
Kari is needed for the higher roll for at least 3 sage powders upon its completion.

Note: The rune examination is optional and can be skipped entirely.
Mid-Late Game Events
Any exploration events in the top half of the island after crossing Bjorn's camp.
Abandoned Boat: Med Herbs & Power Leveling
Cisse must access the package to negate the high depression damage of 10-15(x3) and 19 fatigue.
The "Honoring the Dead" option is now unlocked for power leveling when conditions are ideal.

Kari can collect twigs (4-5 wood) and best done in the morning when fatigue is lowest. She should also loot the corpse for the small depression healing that comes along with the fixed loot.

Rune (embroidery) examination is mandatory to unlock finish funeral option.
Moira is least likely to perform concentration tasks and will negate the XP penalty upon failed skill check.

Note: Do not finish the event until the last bead is needed for Orichalcum Armor.
Reflections in the Water: Sowilo Blessing
The character with the highest constitution needs to swim ahead to get free fish first.
Kari needs to be the one who catches the bright orb.
She needs at least 27 fatigue to fully benefit from the pending bestowed blessing.
Try to get 20 days of Sowilo blessing!

Note: The rune examination can be skipped entirely and avoid throwing the stone that gives unnecessary depression.
Ash Heap: Ancient Knowledge
Kari searches the ashes first to obtain at least 3 stones before inspecting the ground.
Blodeuwedd cooks some fish to gain +5 cooking but cannot be repeated again permanently.
Throw a stone first then salt for a free Ancient Knowledge!
Dark Cave: Fire Crystal & +15 Explore
Before entering, Eirik checks surroundings first to get some extra meat.
Kari enters the cave and move forward in darkness twice to get the Fire Crystal!
She then needs to successfully escape to get a total of +15 exploration skill that is combined with the trait!
Scratched Rocks: Mining & Strength XP for Kari
This event has a limited use of 3 attempts with a series of three layers each. Only the first layer of rock adds strength experience and needs many failed checks.
If not on the last attempt, the event needs to be stopped before finishing the last layer that ends it.
Iron Vein: Mining XP for Kari
This event is similar to Scratched Rocks but much inferior with the very little XP gain.
Mining XP is only gained with the first 2 skill checks.

Note: Do not complete the event until the very last attempt to gain the most mining XP and iron!
Long Dead Warrior
Kari needs to pull the pendant first and choose kick and wait (injury/hunger).
The pull option increases fatigue that decreases her exploration performance.
The helmet can be safely removed and roll for 3 sage powders.

Note: The pendant examination can be entirely skipped.
Horn Trapped in Ice: Fire Crystal
Rune examination is mandatory and select Eirik.
Blodeuwedd touches the ice, waits to assess the situation, and stays still twice to obtain the bead and an additional Fire Crystal! The desirable number of Sage Powders are 2-3.

Note: Blodeuwedd will negate the Cold with her highest sickness resistance trait (Healthy Body).
Bleak Canopy Bed: Ancestor's Blessing
Kari needs to first tear open the mattress for at least 3 bones.

Before lying on the bed, she needs to have at least 38 depression and boost charisma with all available Baldr's Crown.
She needs to close eyes, not resist, listem to them and be judged. The duration of the Ancestor's blessing needs to reach close to 18 days!

Note: Rune examination (Check the Curtains) can be entirely skipped.
Abandoned Cauldron: Ancient Knowledge
The "Eat Some" option should be saved on days when food is needed and select ignore voices to take home 5 cooked meals and satisfy 9 hunger.
The ideal person is an unpopular one like Cisse who benefits the most from the opinion boost trait.

Kari then check the surroundings and successfully listen to the voices for Ancient Knowledge and 2 of each Foul Smelling Potions and Worms Poultice!

Note: The temporary concentration penalty will have no effect on Kari's expertise.
Volup Naked Woman: Wunjo Blessing
Moira who has the highest charisma needs to smile at her first.
She talks to her and introduces self to unlock the final option.
Kari then takes over to lie down, not move, take her hand, and not move again.
She will be healed for a total of 30 depression at the cost of some injury.
Try to get 20 days of Wunjo blessing for massive depression healing!

Note: The rune examination is optional and can be skipped entirely.
Old Man of the Lake: Mimir's Blessing
Rune examination is mandatory and select Eirik.

Kari talks to the head, introduce self (extra wood), ask who he is and the future.
She can now climb down from the beard and receive the permanent Mimir's Blessing!

Note: Do not use Mimir's Bracelet!
Wolf Sculpture: Bragi's Blessing
Rune examination is mandatory.

Kari needs to examine the ravens only when fruit is available to obtain several Kola nuts!

She can also examine pendants to heal fatigue and depression for more power-leveling.
The warriors examine wolf, wonder about its purpose, select god of poetry, offer mead, then leaves.
Bragi's blessing is unlimited as long as there is Meade and can last up to 12 days. Kari should not get the blessing if she already has Wunjo.

Note: This event must not be completed until the very end to renew the blessing when it expires.
Alchemical Apparatus: Awakened Mind
Rune examination (Examine Bowl) is mandatory.

After using the fire crystal, Kari needs a bit of fatigue and depression before drinking black and gold.
The white one should be done by anyone with high sickness.
Afterwards, Kari inhales the red fumes for the Awakened mind trait!

Note: The gray liquid needs to be avoided because it just causes sickness!
Ball of Blue Fire: Torturer
Rune examination is mandatory.

Kari remove the candles to get rid of the outer flame circle for safer access to the fire.
Anyone who wants depression healing should feed the fire with 5 wood. For some reason, Torturer is actually a beneficial negative trait.

Note: This event must not be completed until the very end to renew Torturer when it expires.
Salt Marsh
Kari needs to use the blue shimmers to gain intelligence and charisma for difficult events.

Red Shimmers provide decent depression healing and best for those who are power-leveling.


Kari needs to check the salt twice for the valuable XP and the amount is negligent.
Horse Head
Kari will be the best survivor who can pass the 4 skill checks with several attempts.
The reward gives a massive +10 Courage boost but will give a temporary negative trait that increases fatigue and sickness.
