Beskrivning
A devious take on a familiar favourite which took 1st place in TWP's Portal Reimagined competition.

Puzzle by Demon Arisen.
Mapping by Jofish.

Difficulty: Medium

Asset credits:
Portal 1 style door - Valla-Chan
Extra/clean destruction models - Schoman, November/Alyssa N
Open container pods - Sejievan

Note: There's a trapping situation this map inherits from the original chamber 14. There is an anti-trap measure in place which kicks in if you have the cube and both portals in the laser section, but I forgot to account for the situation without the cube being there. If you place both portals in the laser section, you are trapped and noclipping is the only option. I'll update the map once the competition is over to address this.

Not sure I like all of the visual style here (it's interesting, but a bit uneven, though the big outdoor vista and the anti-trap are for sure gorgeous), but wow , this might be the "purest" tweak of any chamber I've seen. The tiniest of changes resulting in such a big twist, I love it!

Not that difficult to figure out (which is good for my brain-damaged-by-work self atm), but the "pure pureness" of the tweak is nuts. Much better than P1's own advanced 14 was, for sure.

Quite the take on the P1 chamber. Awesome aesthetics too. Makes you wonder “what the fuck is Aperture Science doing???”
I should’ve recorded a blindrun for this but didn’t since I read the description and thought it was a mere remake of the original, when there is in fact an entirely new dynamic towards the end of the chamber that took me a good few minutes to work out. Nothing super difficult but I really like the changes.

Awesome reimagining of chamber 14, awesome puzzle, awesome visuals, awesome anti-trap section, but...

since the point of the solution is to use unusual flings to conserve portals , why isn't the collapsed ceiling fling-proof?
I mean, the first thing I did when seeing the hole in the ceiling near the cube dropper was to fling through it. I did and then I wound up in nodraw-land without any means of escape. Seal off that hole with an invisible wall or something.
On the other hand, I don't like how there's a huge hole above the laser and I can't go through it because of an invisible wall!

Anyways, I hope it's clear that those are nitpicks. Everything else is, as I said, awesome!
