Flamers in MW5 are over-powered to the point of strong cheese. It should not have the ability to delete assault mechs in 5 seconds, nor should it enable one mech to be able to take on a battalion of (mostly heavy/assault) mechs, no matter how skilled the pilot..... yet, in this game you can min-max with flamers and a firestarter to do just that

The min-max is as follow:
You sacrifice your range to max out damage. Upgrade your mech to have more armour and more energy damage
With 10 Defence and 10 Evasion skill, your survivability skyrockets even in a light mech because of all the damage reduction you receive, so long as you keep your speed above 80 kmph
With such a combo, range no longer becomes a factor...

You now have a build that has the highest actual dps by far in the game, have the speed and survivability to get up close to deliver that damage, and have a mechanic that can force enemy pilots to eject early
