"Here is how to make my famous savoy cabbage stew:

List of ingredients:

  • Smoked sausages
  • Bacon
  • Potatoes
  • Savoy cabbage
  • one Mirepoix (2-3 carrots, some selery, leek, onions)
  • fond or powdered soup
  • grounded coriander seeds

Wash everything first, of course.
Cut the mirepoix and the potatoes, set it aside. Make sure everything is small enough to fit on a spoon.
Cut the bacon and the sausages, heat the pot. Add some vegetable oil and give the meat a bit of a fry. Does not need to brown.
Add the mirepoix and the potatoes, deglaze with water if you are using soup powder or add the fond. Make sure the liquid covers the content. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes and remove any foam that may arise. Add 1-2 table spoons of the powered soup, if you didn't use fond, add 1/2 of a small spoon of coriander. Add the cabbage and let it cook to perfection. Adjust taste with soup, coriander and maybe pepper until it meets your taste.
