Among Us - How to win as Crewmate
By Grababana
If you're a crew-mate, you must sniff out the impostor(s). You must take great attention to detail, as the smallest slip-up could reveal the impostor among us...

In this helpful guide, I will show you all the tips and tricks you should know to get ahead as a crew-mate!

Step one - Settings
A good way to help win as a crew-mate (and impostor for that matter) is to take a look at the host's settings. They'll always be on the left side of the screen, and will include everything from number of impostors, to meeting times, to killing range, etc. If you somewhat memorise these settings, it will give you a HUGE advantage over the impostor because you know how the game works (at least for this round).

Step two - Tasks
All crew-mates must complete tasks to speed up the process of winning the game, but the impostor may (and often does) try and blend in by pretending to do tasks. You must try and figure out when they're doing it, so you can vote them in the next meeting.

If somebody's doing a task, usually the task-bar (on the left side of the screen) will go up, unless the host has disabled that setting. But if an impostor is pretending to do a task, then the task bar will not go up when they walk away from the "task". BUT, if they're smart, they will wait there until the task bar ACTUALLY goes up from somebody else doing a task, then anybody that might've been watching them might not suspect them.

The way to get around this trick is to see if somebody's doing a task for an unusually long time. That might mean that they're waiting for the task bar to go up before they walk away.

Confused yet? No? Yes? Ok, you have to stay with me here.

One thing that is very important is that it must be a short task, because in a long task the task bar doesn't go up until they've finished all the steps in their long task. Remember that when watching (possibly not) fellow crew-mates...

Whilst you still have tasks to do, don't bother with cams or detective work, save that for later. If you have all your tasks done quickly, then you can look around for anything suspicious. It's the easiest way to win, by finishing tasks.

Step three - Voting
When emergency meetings/reports come along, you must watch very carefully to see how people act. So, if you haven't gotten a degree in psychology, I'll make it simple for you.

Liars are often the most defensive, so watch out for that in meetings. If somebody is trying very hard to shift the conversation away from them, that counts as defensive. If somebody is accused of being sus, and they are trying very hard to tell everyone how they're not, that counts as defensive.

Randomly accusing people, or randomly accusing people that were called "sus" is very suspicious. An impostor will try and see the most suspicious person, and put all the blame on them. That way, if they get voted out, that's one more person out of the way.

If there's two to three impostors, they will usually try and vote together, that way their votes are much stronger. So, if you see many people voting together again and again and again, you have a very good reason to put all three on your "sus" list...

When people give alibis, make sure to double check them with EVERYONE there. This may seem useless and a waste of time, but it really can make the game 100x faster. If nobody can confirm somebody's alibi, put them on your 'sus' list. If people can confirm that somebody's alibi is fake, vote them out.
Step Four - Movement
The way people move around the map can be a big giveaway to the thought process of their mind. If somebody's moving around weirdly, or if you're doing it yourself, it can seem very suspicious. If you run past someone and they all of a sudden change their direction and start following you, report them immediately.

If you're done with your tasks, either use cams or do laps around the map, because both are useful.
And finally...
make sure to have fun! At the end of the day, it's a game, and it's meant for fun. Some people try really hard to win, whilst others just play easy breezy. Either way, I really hope this guide helped you to get better at Among Us, even a little, and I hope you enjoyed.

If you would like, donate points on this guide, as it really encourages me to make more of these guides, and gets them more popular, so more people can see them, and hopefully it can help more players. I will see you in the next guide, and in Among Us!
