Priest Simulator: Friendly Tips

The time has come: This is a guide filled up with the most ridiculously sounding advice and tips, but quite useful in this game. If you also like to avoid main plot and you keep focusing on side quests and additional things for unlocking - stay here and keep reading, as I'm about to share few bits.

How to boost your resource points... By graveyard(ing)
Simple as that: Once you figure out basic movements and fighting styles, head towards the local graveyard. You will be surrounded everywhere by tombstones, grave glass candles, wax candles & paving cubes. If you will decide to destroy a tombstone, each one gives you 5+ resource points.
Every single glass candle gives you +1 point for smashing it, as an example, which is good thing.Almost near every grave, you can find plain candles, so keep pressing F and collecting them too. Also: don't forget about the cubes. Single each is worth 3+ points, so it would be a waste, to not smash them all.
Don't worry about loosing all this things, as they keep regenerating during the smashing-session. So that is an endless process if I have to be honest. In one less than 20min go, I managed to move from 500 points to more than 1000. Which is quite helpful if you are a careful type of player and want to upgrade everything ASAP.
For each of the coffin you gain +5 points. But there is one more thing: Keep searching for bowl and flower vases around the whole cemetery.
As you can see on the above example, each round bowl may give you a 10+ which is very rare tbh.

But that's not the end.

You see, there are also very rare gemstones lets say, like hidden money, which is of course one of the resources that you depend on very often during this whole game. To find hidden money, you need to look for quite tall tombstones, such as that one presented below:
I had smashed the tombstone, spotted shiny gold urn after all pieces were gone, and it was containing some money. So that is not so bad, as for that location.

I have also obtained holy bone, which was a surprise, but as a collector I felt satisfied with this additional discovery. Even, one of the blue scrolls with weapon upgrading scheme was hidden under another tombstone as well. That proved how much this location is worth of the attention.
What I almost forgot, is the classification of some sort. You have single tombstones, double ones and triple ones. On the triple ones for each segment I was gaining +5 points, so "smash them all" shall be a new anthem for using here *add your tune here*

Maybe: Yeah, you will find something, that I did not mentioned yet, and if possible share it with the others.
Barn, houses, exploration matters...
As well as wise usage of your tools. If some of you had already received the telekinesis glove, and managed to collect the disk for weird-frog-guy, then you have a chance to get yourself nice drops. On the left hand side, you have found disk inside of the barn. Try to use the blue glove to move all the object, as you should place something on the unit shelves to climb up. You can find inside two graffiti that has to be clean up, and also some drops. If you enter the house, you will get from there a codex book (3rd one in my case) which you need for confessing mini-games.
Also, you will get another upgrading scheme, glove related. But that is not just that. If you enter the basement, you can find graffiti to clean, new weapon (hammer visible on the screenshots) and also a lot of money hidden everywhere.
So in total: You can either smash small object around this place, or other houses, or if possible, try to enter them and look up the whole place for interesting drops. So far, if that is not a random algorithm, I found in that location 2 jars with holy things, more than 1000 PLN and some stuff to smash, worth good number of points.
PIMP MY CHURCH
One of the most important tasks in this game, rotates around fixing the church, to improve christy-kristy level all around. Since I have a strategy to focus on exploration and all drops, during total 8h of playing in that game, I managed to follow main quests, save 8739 PLN and saved 3004 resource points. So:
I was wondering how aquarium would look like in a church, since nobody tried that yet, but of course I want to be in advance with main things renovation. With my money, I managed to buy all renovations available for 800pln. Then I bought aquarium and atm I almost have no money left. However so far:
My church is almost fully green, which means that this is how much I managed to edit since like yesterday. So I may be moving forward with that, instead of going ahead with main missions. Also, what is interesting, this is how the aquarium looks like, if anybody have ever wondered is it worth it:
I think it's not bad, but I am even scared at this point of the possible look of Jacuzzi or Lava lamp, which are also available in the pimp-your-church shop. To show you the overall look of main hall, I did some additional screenshots, so you can compare how much of a change this green stage provides:
And yeah: The biggest sarcastic joke in this game is the fact, that a lot of polish priests are trying to build that sort of extravagant churches, instead of helping other people and using money more wisely. True fact, and the best gem in this game so far - if we focus on the side things only. I'll keep you updated on all of my next church upgrades.
Sunday Update: So I had decided to go-on for now with people confession. During that (I got 3 books only) I manage to raise money quite fast, instead of wandering around and exploring. So far, above you may see what "lava lamp kit" is meant to look like. What is more funny, I also bought Jacuzzi:
And that had just killed me. If you press F on it, you can generate some steam coming up for a while.
To show you how much ridiculous it can become as a church building, with each next modification, I decided to upload a short video. I never laughed so hard, like when I activated the DJ console inside:
I'm almost done, with maybe one or two more things to buy and add inside, and at this stage I can still see some doors, grass, trees marked as grey/white, without any upgrade for them available in the shop. Is it something that creators are right now working on? Who on earth knows.
Diet supplements Shop: Mortimer & Bomba weird combo
So if you are before or after the fight with Dog-lady, you should be completely aware of the fact, that local businessmen and grab are cooperating together and running their own diet supplements shop.
It is quite useful place to stop by, due to few reasons. Most obvious one is the fact, that each product can boost our statistics, and we gotta lvl up faster before the boss fight, right? So ladies, gents and non-binary players, it is time for some shopping with quite handy tips over here. You see, each product:
  • boosts different stats for our character
  • have a different price price for it
  • looks like its limited in the numbers
Manna powder for example costs 800PLN and boosts your defense stats. It looks like you have only 12 jars of it to go. Similar situation takes place with the other products, which boost stats such as:
Large Monohydrant - is related to increase of your attack and costs 800PLN as well.
Large Amino Acid is quite cheap, for 500 PLN only and can boost your health.
Large communion concentrate is for 600 PLN and increases your holiness level, so that is least favourable one (unless you have your own gaming strategy, and that is a stat which you are desperate for levelling up), and also the price differences are making it harder for you to afford such a luxury.
Here comes the resource point swapping! If you remember the funeral guy, who has his shop stand, opposite to church, you can stop by his point at any time, to change your resource points into money. You need about minimum of 150 points to make a swap for PLN currency. It comes very handy when you have to buy things, you have to boost your skills, and you need to do any shopping quests.
Shatanic Totems & Kremuva Sprinkler: How to get/How to destroy
If you have entered the hardest part of the village (where Mortimer's house or the castle is located), you might be already irritated by Shatanic Totems blasting a laser attacks at you, whenever you may go. You cannot use normal weapons such as a baseball bat/dagger/fork/hammer or bullets. They will not affect Totems at all and this will be another Sisyphean stone for you. But there is one trick to win.

You need in your arsenal Kremuva Sprinkler. Activated. Simple as that:

At some point in the game, you have probably heard from Bomba about cream-cake that nobody is allowed to eat, because it is a symbol. That is very important hint, because the further you progress within the game, the more main story you complete, the closer you gonna get to cream-cake quest.

Simply: Go back to cake shop, to find the cream cake. It will be in the main room at the top of the sweets display cabinets as you can see on the below screenshot:
:
Once you consume the cake, documentary cut-scene should be unlocked and lead you to the sequence of dialogue with Kremuva spirit. He will mention his sprinkler and since this part is completed, you will have it activated in your weapons arsenal (on your right hand). Then just crush them all:
For each broken totem, you will gain 10 resource points. They regenerate themselves around the village, but that shouldn't be a problem, since NOW you can get rid of them within few moments.
Boost the holiness by leveling up: For dummies
There are few things, which can help you with not only boosting the holy points, but also lvling up during the whole gameplay. The order doesn't matter as long as you will try out these few methods:
If you have a money, you can buy this holy powder at the supplement store located within graveyard. Buy them all, to boost your holy points a bit. Unfortunately, there is a limited number of them, and once they sold out - they are completely gone.
If we talk about free options, the most common one will include twisting crosses from the upside down position, which are regenerating themselves, so that is never-ending process. One cross is on the phone-box opposite the church, and all the rest will be in the blue toilet-boxes. Thanks goodness they are "not bigger on the inside" like in Doctor Who TV series or something.
Another option which might be not so cool as it sounds, but is interesting part of the whole map exploration process, is the side-quest related to social works. It's very simple: You have to keep mopping out all graffiti marks, from the various locations. They can be at the top of bus stops, roofs, inside of barns, houses, at the random fences or walls. Main goal is to collect 100 of them, and trust me there are definitely more, as since I have completed that quest, I still keep seeing some graffiti pictures at random locations.
Of course it is not so easy to get into the roof, even if by any chance you unlock new skill like double-jumping. It takes a bit of time, patience and idea to get into some points on the map to complete it.
Another place worth regular visiting is the Mortimer's house. You see, inside the building you can keep farming the points for increasing your holiness level as well. First of all, to save your time, transport yourself from Church to Rolafs Castle via red plastic toilets. On your way from the castle you will see the house:

Inside of it, open the doors on your left and keep walking. There will be a pair of doors on your right. Once you enter that space, you will see the pentagram on floor, and two Shatanic totems.
Keep destroying each of them to gain the points. After few minutes from leaving the house, they should regenerate themselves, so if you're stuck with options of gaining any holiness, you may use this source as you go.
Of course, from limited options you may choose to follow all houses requiring exorcism and complete those, renovate the whole church for few extra points, or completing all the sermons, which can only be 100% accomplished once you reach level 20. This is when the 4th sermon will finally be available.
How to access all the high places?
If you are trying to get to the attics of closed houses or barns, top of the roofs, balconies and you cannot manage with simple jumping or double one... Please think twice. Especially if you already got your telekinesis glove.
As you can see above, I had a problem with cleaning the graffiti. I could not complete that by simply jumping and mopping (it's impossible to mop the surface while jumping), so I had used my telekinesis glove to move some objects (located nearby) and build from them small tower. Then I had jumped on top of it, cleaned the surface and completed easily another task on my side-quest list.
This is very helpful in various locations, whenever there is a problem with getting higher and accessing certain places. Even if by accident you smash something, all items are regenerating after a while. Remember to click your right mouse button only once, move smoothly with the floating object, and then press F key only. It took me a while, as I was accidentally smashing a lot of things (I am a woman with a temper lets say - as a social joke - while gaming).
Some constructions take a while and they may seem to look very absurd. However as long as they fulfil their function, it will be much easier to access every place and get collectables and quest items.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM LEVEL?
So far after finishing main plot, fulfilling all the church-shopping and sermons (while still struggling with exorcism quest and last exorcism to complete), increasing holiness level and other things for the overall splendour result, I think that at the moment (anno domini 2022/October) maximum game lvl stops at number 20.
My round icon from white colour changed into the gold one, and seems to be stopped. As far as I could have seen among the discussions on the Priest Simulator threads, it looks like creators are working on some map extension, which means that this game might end up with part two, or an upgrade of story and missions. Will the creators upgrade also the number of levels? Well, it is up to them to give us an answer.
What is it all about... Gramophone in Church?
At the very beginning of this game, whenever you restart from last save, Orlok is always starting from the Church attic. If you had explored it well, you have noticed many elements of the interior and some small things that you can interact with such as a shisha or gramophone. While the first object, will cause to you similar effect as wine drinking (meaning: wine drinking, can help you in exorcisms or fights as a booster), the gramophone for most of the time cannot be used and you will see information that "you cannot use it now". The reason for this is the side-quest related to music. Let me explain:
"Enemy of the Music Business" is one of my rarest achievements in Priest Simulator. It is related to the gramophone and an extra, that you activate once you accomplish it. You can do that by completing quest, where you need to collect the Vulgators - which are a gold cd's in frames, possible to be found in the various locations on the town map. Once you get them all, you should see them all like this:
Inside of the church attic. They should be hanging on the right side, while gramophone is located on the left. The trick is, to click on any of these gold discs, to make one of them kinda disappear. In fact it just teleport from wall to the cupboard on which gramophone is placed. It should look exactly like that:
If you managed to teleport the cd in such a way, walk closer to the gramophone and activate it. You will be able to listen to a specific song associated with specific cd. If you look closer at each of them, they will have graphics related to the same theme, but with completely different character drawn on each one of them. That will help you in finding out which song is it associated with, I think. Now you can enjoy some extra music not only in basement, from DJ console at the cathedral part, or at various locations outside with radios. You can finally enjoy some jams at the attic with gramophone use.
Soon more tips will come up, so ensure to follow this guide
As soon as I find interesting content or useful hints, I will do my best to update you all. I am bilingual person, so any English or Polish language questions, are more than welcome in the comment section.

Building structures from objects with a crooked collision of objects is absurd and mockery.

You mean the one to fight? You generally need to find all the scrolls, for any weapon upgrades and also ensure to talk to the black crowned merchant, as he sometimes got some stuff (example: church upgrades).

Dont bother using your hand to destroy things for resources or shatanists. Just use Kremuva's sprinkler, its brutal strong and aoe damage

Hi Xarluk!

If you head onto the local churchyard and you enter the church, at some point of the game inside of it will be the supplement shop fully accessible to you. Apart from that spot, you cannot find it elsewhere. Another important point is the candy store - but that one is located behind the mountain gate. Keep searching, learning the map and boosting!:blight::goodest:
