Never antagonize folk that dont need antagonizing. If someones behaving badly hit them with the kindness card. This does not apply to Micah. Always be rude and hateful towards Micah.

If possible avoid taking rewards for extra honor. Unless you're really desperate then take it. But I doubt it after the valentine heist.

Going against the law might seem like a fun idea. But this decision has consequences. Going against the law damages your honor. If you upset them just run away and gun down a few. No biggie.

While in saint denis, run around and talk to everyone. A simple "Hello" will make you seem like a good person. This is probably a good way to rank up that honor if you're desperate. So stop by saint denis and give that R key a good spam.

While exploring you might find wolves attacking someone or some raiders harassing a traveler. This is a good opportunity to get that honor up and be a good person for once. Saving someone has alot of benefits, like giving medicine to a snake bite victim. You might encounter them later on at a gunsmith and they will repay you handsomely with a gun of your choice. This is one of many examples.

Do as many side missions as possible. The more the better. You get to help out more people and the better your honor bar feels. Like mentioned above, doing side missions also reward you with plenty of things. So its a nice addition.
