Personal Information

The feeling of an RPG begins with the creation of your character.
You can select one of a few predefined skins and change your pronouns, which aren't tied to your character’s appearance. You can also select your background Low/High City, which will unlock a couple of new options in dialogue, and choose a value as a trait prior to your gamedec career. That value will grant you different amounts of Aspect points, which are used for unlocking various skills, called Professions here. More about that below. And that is all the impact of the value you choose.
Origin
High City
Low City
You get a few extra dialogue options depending on the origin you choose.
Here is how it looks when an origin dialogue option is pressed:
Aspects
These are the reflection of your character's personality.
We have four core personality types which come with their own set of traits:
- decisive Red (fire icon)
- creative Yellow (light bulb icon)
- analytical Blue (piece of puzzle icon)
- sociable Green (heart icon)

Below you can see the traits for each core personality type:

......
The traits of each are shaped by the choices you make, you do not modify them manually.
Please note that you gather specific Aspects depending on the dialogue option you choose. For example, you exercise caution in a situation, you get one analytical Blue point.
Professions
You will need Aspects to unlock a new skill (Profession). Each Profession requires a different type and amount of Aspects to unlock. The beginner skills at the bottom of the skill tree require the least amount. As you branch out, a higher number of Aspects are required.
Thankfully, you are not forced to limit yourself to just one branch. Thus, you can unlock skills as you see fit. As to what the skills do, well, each one unlocks special action options via dialogue that you can select. Keep in mind these options are available to select depending on the situation the player finds itself. So not all conversations require for you to take a special action.
Actually, you can play the entire game without choosing a Profession, but that will kinda take away from the flavour of your gameplay and I see no reason to, especially since the personality points are naturally gathered as you progress in the game and make your choices.

Closing Notes

These are the basics. Take them in consideration when you make your character.
