Saving Tammy & Professor Hal

Summary
Pretty straightforward because it requires reloading memory, but I will try to avoid methods which requires reloading/new playthrough in this.

You can save her by reloading the save if you're on your first playthrough. Otherwise, the option becomes available in the second playthrough where you can run to her instead of going to the cotton candy.

Same goes for Professor Hal, you can only save the two of them by reloading the save. While Tammy has no effect on the special ending, Professor Hal is required for Disconnect the Array ending if you want to fulfill a requirement without passing the Engineering (30) skill check.
Saving Uncle Tonin

Summary
To save uncle Tonin, you need to unlock expedition choice to sneak out of the colony.

You can do this by having at least 10 relationship with Dys to unlock it as early as possible. An alternative option is waiting until you can talk to uncle Tonin and Dys will give you a way out.

During the Wet season of the second year, sneak out of the colony and go to find uncle Tonin where you can find Dys before at the bottom left of the map. Try to distract it to give him a chance to survive.

Alternatively, from the second playthrough onward if you have saved Uncle Tonin before, then you can talk to Tammy and ask her to stop him from going out during Late Wet of year 2, provided that you have saved her before. This requires you to do a Persuasion challenge.
Saving Gorvernor Eudicot

Summary
Another problem to deal with during year 14. Saving Governor Eudicot gives you an extra vote during your coup to overthrow Lum.

To save Governor Eudicot, there are two ways. You can get it by unlocking lookout duty at the Garrison and doing it on the Glow. During the event, you'll see something enormous coming your way. Sound the alarm to save Governor Eudicot. This is the fastest way without any additional skill-check.

Alternatively, if you have 25 Bravery and not on lookout duty, you can run out to face the threat. Here, you will get the option to save Governor Eudicot and face with a combat challenge. Losing it will also resulting in losing her.
Saving Mom

Summary
This is a bit of a tricky one. I recommend doing it with the one below so you won't have to do more exploration than necessary.

Ideally, you will forage in the valley soon as possible and try to clear out the <!> event on the map. It should be the event where you discovered that the ground is edible spongecake with Biology (20) or Perception (20). The location might be random because I've encountered it in two different places.

You also need to do all of the events on the valley map to gain food point and keep track of the food reserve at the Command, the blue building where Marz stands near.
Saving Dad

Summary
Thanks Spookie for helping me with this one! You need to forage at the valley during pollen season.

Do it as soon as possible. Ideally, you can combine this with saving mom. Go to the bottom right corner of the map where you will see a <!> event and collect the spore samples. You don't need to go in and shouldn't since it will end the expedition abruptly.

Afterwards, go do an engineering event where you can talk with Chief Instance and Tang about the cure. Once you helped them with the cure, your dad should be saved. You won't need to do this during replay as well since you can just tell them the cure.
"Saving" Dys

Summary
This is a bit convoluted since I haven't understood the entire deal of his "death" yet but it is possible for Dys to "die" as an individual since he will assimilate with the Gardener's consciousness.

To avoid this, you can either stop him from leaving at all by (1) dating him or having high (90) relationship with him (2) has high empathy and success the mini-game check.

However, if you allow him to go through with his plan, you can find him by surveying the ridge. You need to do all three events of investigating the <!> at the bottom left of the ridge map before the bombing to find him since all three of these are experienced with Dys. It is necessary to have low stress in the second event.

  • The first one is where you enter the cave.
  • The second one is where you will need to go through several stress check and reach a deeper consciousness.
  • The third one is finding a new room.

Optional: but I also think you should return to the Ridge after meeting Sym and go to the right he stands.
  • During the 7th year, you can get a scene where you learn about Dys' augment (and get to tease him about a kiss).
  • Then in the 8th year, you can get a conversation with Sym about the Gardener. At the end of this, Dys will ask Sym about becoming one.

He should be at the same position as the <!> event at the bottom left. If you have high (80) relationship with Sym, you can convince him to stop Dys.

Otherwise, you can convince Dys to come back as a friend (also requires high (90) relationship, I think, since I haven't tried) or you can confess/reaffirm your love to ask him to go back.
Stopping Tangent and Instance

Summary
Get Tangent's conversation about her current project with Instance to trigger this chain of events.

You can get an event during Engineering where you saw her leaving with Instance but left the lab door open. It might take a few tries before this event triggers if you haven't done much engineering. However, once you got it, there are three stat-check options:
  • Search the files: Requires 50 Organizing to unlock.
  • Search the computer: Requires 50 Engineering to unlock.
  • Check out the experiments: Requires 50 Biology to study the creatures more closely.

Once done, you can get a conversation with Tangent. You must pick "I know about the engineered plague" to confront her about it. Here, you will have a skill check where you can ask Tangent to stop with high (90) relationship.

However, if you don't have her support, you can go to Lum with your evidence and threaten to expose him. Select "But I have evidence! I will tell everyone!" to stop him for good.
Overthrowing Lum / Becoming Gorvernor

Summary
Overthrowing Lum requires you to be in year 17 of the game for this chain of events to get into motion. I think you also need a high relationship with Marz for this.

Requirements:

(0) Always choose to save Eudicot to get one extra vote.
(1) Spending time at the Commands (blue building) to get Secret Funtimes Club (SFC) events. This chain starts with the one where you get to recruit a Helios kid. Picking either Rex or Nomi will get you the other as well, which is my recommendation. It might be a bad idea to pick Vace because he's a loyalist to Helios.
(2) You will get a SFC event after the dance where you can suggest overthrowing Lum.
(3) During Mid Dust, year 18, another event with Marz where she expresses distaste for the governor. Afterwards, do another governing action to trigger new SFC event.
(3.5) You will need persuasion (50) or rebellion (70+) to nominate yourself as a governor if you want the position.

Added by steam user Seer in the comment: An additional facet to becoming governor is your relationship with Marz. When the plan for the coup is revealed, you have an option for supporting Marz or if you have 50 persuasion and 70 rebel you can convince Marz to let you run. You can still become governor if you support Marz by asking the council for support, but this ultimately creates a strained relationship between the two of you.

Optional (?): If you have high loyalty (70+) or have persuasion (100), you can get the assist the governor job early by convincing Seeq to give it to you. This also helps you dig up some dirt about Lum, I don't know if this helps or not because I've succeeded in overthrowing him without doing this.

From there on, everything should be straightforward. You need the unanimous support of the chiefs across the broad. I recommend leaving Aunt Anne to the last because she won't agree to support you until you get the majority.

The people you need to convince are:
  • Mom/Cal (Geoponics)
  • Utopia (Explorations)
  • Rhett (Garrison)
  • Instance (Engineering)
  • Seeq + Eudicot (Command)
  • Aunt Anne (Quarters)
During your conversation with the chiefs, you can actively support Marz or yourself to be the gorvernor. If Marz becomes the governor, you will be given the assistant position. If you become the gorvernor, you can give Marz or let Seeq keep it.
Mending Dys and Tang's relationship

Summary
Alternative title: Make them reconcile faster! This is the guide towards an illustration so I think it's pretty nifty.

This requires unlocking the barista career at the Quarters, which should be available as early as year 17 once you unlocked Rex's bar.

To do that, you need to befriend him as early as possible at year 6 until you learn about his aspiration to open up a bar, then give him at least 5 mushroom logs.

Once his bar is finished in year 17, do an activity in the Quarters to trigger the event where Instance gives you the barista role.

You will learn a bit more about what happened to their mom during this, she was the previous Counselor before it took her own life.

From there onwards, it's mostly working at the cafe until you trigger all the event sequences. It goes with: Tang > Dys > Tang > Dys > Tang & Dys. Once you get them both together, you'll get the CG and the siblings reconciled :)!
Peace with the Gardeners

Summary
The ending where you get complete and total peace with the Gardeners. Require preparations for the final boss battle and high relationship with Sym.

These are the short steps of what is necessary for the ending.
  • Raise max level with Sym and give him the holovids. (Keeping Hal alive will help you getting these information without causing troubles)
  • Trigger the event where Sym asks you to go meet the Overseer with him, this happens in year 17.
  • You need high level of affection for the scene where Sym takes you to the Overseer for a deal. This will happen in year 9.
  • Accept the deal from the Overseer then go back to overthrow Governor Lum (refer to the previous section if you don't know how)
  • Bring the deal to Marz or your council to discuss your final decision.
  • During the Glow of your year 9, you will see Nocticulent arrive with negotiation party. There will be three hard battle cards as final boss battle: Persuasion, Reasoning, and Animal. Stock up as many items as you can before this to succeed.

You need to trigger a sequence of events with Sym for this. Raise him to maximum levels of relationship until he takes you to the Overseer. In order to do this, you also need to help Sym getting human data from the Engineering. The easiest way to find him is surveying nearby area. Otherwise, Sym is often at the middle of the map in Ridge and Plains.

I'm not 100% sure that clearing all the exploration is necessary but I always do that so it's probably advisable to complete all of your exploration <!> events. Some places have new <!> events overtime so be sure to go back and check.

Once you reached the Overseer at year 7, ask them to help human instead of trying to purging them from existence. I don't know if this is necessary but this is what I always chose.

Then wait until Sym has an event where he takes you to the Overseer the second time for the deal at year 9. then take the deal to the governing body after you removed Lum from power. This means you're either asking Marz to think about it or consulting with your own council.

You don't have to decide immediately at that section, what matters is the final scene during the glow.

This is where Noctilucent will show up with a huge army, you need to negotiate for a better deal and survive three hard card battle: Persuasion, Reasoning, Animal. Remember to stock up as much items as possible before this. Once you succeeded all three, you'll get the option to agree to the terms.

If mom is there, she will say this is all you've been fighting for. That's it, now you have the ending!
Disconnect the Array

Summary
Deaths! Destruction! Time to destroy an entire network of over twenty thousands years of existence just because you can and you will!

(0) Save professor Hal before to go past the skill check, otherwise, you need 30 Engineering for the bomb.

(1) Clear <!> event of Survey the Ridge at bottom left for the information on the Array. These are the sequences of events you'll see with Dys but you only need the one where you can touch thing at random.

(1.5) Alternatively, you can get this by having Sym bringing you to the Overseer if you had met him in the previous playthrough. This will happen in year 7.

(2) You need to unlock Hunt in the Swamp in order to begin this sequence of events. This should be available on year 7 during Pollen season at the earliest. Here, you'll get to spend time with your bestie... Vace! Believe it, he'll become your best friend now whether you like it or not because you will succeed this ending together.

Afterwards, there'll be two <!> events you need to go through. The first is the one where you can get your pet unisaur, you can do whatever you want here.

(3) But the second one is where you will face a Faceless in an underground facility with Vace. It is a hard battle and might require multiple tries, so you should prepare beforehand and avoid events then go straight to it.

Once you cleared this, you will begin to get the event where Rhett talks about the attack on the Gardener's system. You'll need to ask them what they know about the enemies before you begin the preparation. Tell them everything you can on the Gardeners. These are the requirements of the ending after the prompting:

  • Array: Through Sym's interaction or unlocking the <!> at the bottom left of Survey the Ridge.
  • Payload: This is a computer virus bomb, which means you'll need the help from Hal or have at least 30 Engineering to get it.

Once you have both of these, talk to Rhett and update him on it. He'll let you begin your hunt in the swamp for the final phase. After this, there'll be three battles you need to go through, each of them show up as a <!> faceless.

(1) Return to the Swamp after this to hunt for a Gardener, Noctilucent. The position of his spawning is random so you'll have to run around the map a bit. Fight him, he'll run away after injured.

(2) Then, you'll need to go find him again for the key. This time, he's accompanied by Symbiosis. Afterwards, you'll need to fight both Noctilucent and Symbiosis.

(3) Once you found Noctilucent again, it'll be an immediate battle. Defeat them to get the key to the compound.

After you reached their underground facility at the same place where you found the young Nameless and your unisaur, enter and prepare for another battle. Either fight them together in a combat challenge or if you have high perception (80), you'll get to their operating machines.

Here, you'll have another stat-check for Reason, or if you have high Engineering (50), you can bypass it altogether. Then, voila! You've succeeded, the hivemind is no more.

You can also save mom by doing the farming activity a lot

Thanks for the detailed breakdown of the Peace ending; I wanted to go for that next time and was looking to get the specifics outlined.

@cocytushexen You should aim to get the "Heroic" buff during glow or whenever else you can, and make use of the buff to go exploring for quick red skill gains. Get the Hopeye/Vriki pets as early as you can for reduced stress and better skill gains. The "Golden Path" guide was helpful for my first run even though I couldn't follow it exactly (it assumes you have unlocks in advance).

i can't understand this game. how do folks get high specfic stats quick to save, get out of sticky situations, never mind have high friendship to achieve certain clearance. like i fail 3 counts trying to romance Cal, i even got friendzoned and it hurts to be close because the system register us as BFF :steamsad: also, i see some of these requirements are steep in pre-requisite. like how do you get to explore well without high perception/bravery/toughness build up? never mind encountering Sym for high friendship or any of the extraterrestrial brownie points? i'm super confused.

don't see the reborn grant stats from previous lives to carry over either. so everything is reset :steamfacepalm:

dont know if this was mentioned before but it seems like after you get the sample from the valley you research xenobotany to end the famine.

This guide is so awesome, thank you! I'm on my five hojillionth run and trying very hard to get the "Dys gets with Sym, then gets with Sol" poly pod, even though I know it'll make me sad, and there's a bit in your guide I'm stuck on...

You wrote, "Then in the 8th year, you can get a conversation with Sym about the Gardener. At the end of this, Dys will ask Sym about becoming one."

So, I'm at P2, age 17 (which is year 8, if I'm mathing right?), just cleared the mourning from Sym's errrr... cliff hanger event? *cough*, and I cannot find this conversation anywhere in the Wresting Ridge... am I mathing the year wrong? Do I need to wait until age 18? After the discussion with Dys during the wet season?

Thank you so much!

Just to confirm; you need BOTH 50+ Persuasion and 70+ Rebellion to nominate yourself. (I wanted to this playthrough, but was too loyal.) Then a high Persuasion (100 total Inc bonuses?) to pull it off.

An addition to "saving mom": Doing xenobiology research after you found the spongecake leads to an event where you can get +5 food. It triggers an event with three options, I picked the one with talk to mom. That leads to a skill check where you either need high loyalty (20-30?) or biology (40 I believe). You don't have to clear all the events in the valley if you do this.

@Seyrith I played the game like 20 times during the release week lol

@GeorgeTheBarbarian you have to let him "die" (allow him to become a Gardener) in order to get the CG :)
