3:10 TO HEAVEN - How to get hand cannon and complete the mission ONE turn(No luck required)

The following steps show you how to finish 3:10 To Heaven, robbing both the safe (rear) and highjack the train (front) in one turn.
This is optimised to remove any element of luck and chance, you do not need to do any retries.

This will save you the medical bill, and time, and you have one extra toy (Hand cannon) to play with.
It has 7 damage as a pistol, could be 8 with character skills.

You can finish with WD and Flynn start on horseback regardless.

1. Max out speed cards on Laughing Deer
2. Lazarus just need any weapon that's capable of bouncing bullets
3. Gin Carter - Blue dynamite and any combos that would shove out 7 damage only
4. Flynn - Just herself with 1 blue dynamite, boots not required but will make work easier
5. Run Gin Carter as far as possible towards the rear end, prefer under the ladder
6. Use Gin's last point to throw the blue dynamite kill one goon, reset.
7. Get on the roof, get him to use a 7 damage skill, it has to hit the second goon behind cover, you can A. Get enough damage for Gin to cap the first guy with 8 damage weapon or B. Tune his posse skill to do precisely 7 damage.
8. Get Flynn onto the roof, swap the guy with 1 HP. Now Flynn gets another three points by swap-kill the 1 HP goon, she can run to the very rear cart in one turn and open the safe just let her do it.
9. Lazarus bounce one bullet, damage the behind cover goon with 15 HP one train ahead of the starting train.
10. Laughing Deer, board the train and Wild Run to kill the goon, he should have enough movement to reach the front of the train in one go.

1. Make the melee guy Speed over 28. Let him pick the hand cannon
2. lA guy in train goes as far as he can on the roof, to see a sniper near the train head
3. Flynn swaps with the sniper
4. Flynn uses blue bomb to recover action point
5. Flynn swaps the guy who stand before the lever

I too did the LD/Flynn strat. Teleport, bomb the snipers, teleport twice to the lever while LD sprints down the train to the safe; get a few chain kills if you can't make it.

This is only tested on Hard. But this one was simpler than I expected. I've narrowed it down to one kill, only tested on hard. So I can't say if this works on Nightmare .

But I did this strat with only LD and Flynn.
Give Flynn Blue Dynamite and Get her the level 2 teleport.
Max out Deer's Speed.

Flynn can make it on top of the train, move two range bands out, then use some dynamite to kill a sharpshooter for bravado. Swap with a sharpshooter closer to the main car, then swap with boss. use your last ap to end the mission.

Use LD to head to the back of the train with maxed out speed he can make it one go.

Managed to improve on @archdevil86's strategy, and I even did it on Nightmare+. Requires some luck tho - literally.
Laughing Deer - All speed cards.
Flynn - Snakeskin Boots or better, Two Pair (any), Chain Gun (Holy shit this thing is so overpowered, It's like getting an XCOM sniper rifle a century early.)
1) Laughing Deer goes straight to the back row.
2) Flynn uses 1 AP to reach the top of the train. Shoot one of the two the nearby enemies with her Chain Gun to Bravado recharge AP, move up, shoot again to Bravado again.
3) Swap with the the guy on the coal car, then swap with the boss guarding the Emergency Override / Abandon Ship Protocol Switch - AKA the brakes, for some reason.
4) Flynn will have 1 AP remaining to interact with the device. Hit the brakes and call it a day.

As an added bonus, this strategy can net you the Turkey Shoot achievement.

there's an even simpler way. only need fynn and LD.
LD near max out speed with the cards as you describe. but you dont need all the speed. just enough to reach the objective.

The rest of the speed give to fynn.

fynn runs to top of the back carriage as far as 1 AP allows.then swap enemy.
use the last AP to bomb the enemy to bravado. run to the objective.

it took me a few retries to get the speed right, but that's how i managed to do it.

Thanks for the guide! Laughing Deer can actually run to the start of the train in a turn, it's amazing!
I passed this level even easier - my Gin shot at 8 HP and got to the end of the train without Flynn's help. And Lazarus did not shoot with a bounce, but ran out right in front of the enemy and fired.
