Jesus christ the Transhuman Arm (It's literally in their name) are only half human anymore. They have heavy biomechanical and synthetic augmentations. The only thing human about them is their anatomy. The TA are basically Cyborgs to oversimplify things. (Not quite in the generic sense tho)

they are human but not completely since you can see wires coming out the grunt's eye when you shoot him enough
