Description

This MGB has a 2pdr QF Mk.IIc (40 mm) covering the front arc, this is enough firepower to take out everything it meets quickly and reliably, since 40mm AP shells can penetrate various compartments its especially deadly for vessels it can shoot through the front.

In the rear arc it has a turret with twin 20 mm/70 Oerlikon Mark V, this is the ideal choice for dealing with fast, small and nimble boats like the G-5, its as deadly if not more than the 40mm in the front.

It also has 2 turrets on each side with twin Lewis 1916 (7.72 mm) that serve no real purpose, since in most situations you can simple alternate between the 40 and the 20s while reloading if immediate firepower is needed.

It also has 2 Mk.VII depth charges for when something gets close enough.

Since it is only 2.0 meeting Destroyers its optional so the lack of torpedoes its not an issue.

Its a very enjoyable vessel with no clear flaws or issues, it might struggle to shoot its frontal 40mm gun while on the move in rough seas, but it can always stand still in a corner exposing only its 40mm, if on the move the 20mm its usually the ideal choice thanks to better gun depression to deal with the waves and the faster ROF that allows for spraying.
