Nice setup. I recently got a fractal design define r6, will fill it up with HDD in the upcoming years. Your CM Silencio 550 is very similar design wise. Great choice for a solid case there.

4 Yazeed - well they are ... in over all ... but this is kinda server for low power consumption ... because in over all ... you need to pay for it ... its not company or customer.

When I was a kid I wished I had a server rig just to game on it..

Because I thought server system are more powerful than consumer rig

I'll no doubt be asking advice when I build from scratch, like you said, do it right from the start with what you plan to do with it :)

Thanks again man.

For sure ... man ... yeah that was also my thinking at start ... but then you need to realize also this ... when you do it right from the begining ... will still be right .... even after few years ...

... but if you start wrong ... you will be picking thru many MOBO/CPU maybe to set it right ...

... I mean FYI my brother is having QNAP ... which is awesome ... at start ... then you realize ... it is pretty good ... but this is not working ... licence just for 2 cameras (what about rest) ... like cannot use more then 2TB drives for now (like NAS have 10+ years or so) ... and so ... on and on (it is getting better thru time ... just to be correct) ...

... I know you right ... you have spare HW .. and you just used it ... YEAH great thinking same with me and HW for my nephew/nieces ...

For sure, I've already took notes down from this my friend and looking to spec similar if I can :) - I'm not too worried about saving 4W between HDD's at the moment, when I got as many as you have I will be! But definitely looking at moving away from the haswell CPU first.

sure use what you have ... but for the future maybe a good advice. Well thats why you need to pick some modern CPU (like mine for example) so in even low power ... it can handle 8K@120z
