In this guide I will explain how to make it possible to play the custom game “Training Polygon” locally with 0 ping, while queuing or if you get banned from the arcade.

Open folder where Dota 2 is installed. Then open the “game” folder. Then open the “dota_addons” folder. In this folder you should create a folder called “tp_local” or whatever name you want, but be careful, the name of this folder is gonna be used to launch a custom game.

Launch Source 2 Resource Viewer. Press “Open” and browse to the “steamapps” folder on that drive where Dota 2 is installed. Since mine on disk “C:” path is “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\570\813598504”. There would be a file called “813598504.vpk”, open it with Source 2 Resource Viewer.

Open the context menu on the root file “813598504.vpk”, and pick “Export as is”.
In the popup menu choose the folder we made in step 2.

It should export files quickly if you are not on a potato pc. To be sure that everything is done correctly make sure the folder you made in step 2 looks like this.

We did the hardest part and now the custom game is ready to launch. To launch a custom game, open the game console, and type the following command “dota_launch_custom_game tp_local template_map”. “tp_local” is the name of the folder you made in step 2, so make sure that your folder is called “tp_local” or you typed the correct name of the folder in this console command.

Sadly if custom game was installed that way, it wouldn't self update automatically. So i case to get fresh version of custom game you have to repeat all steps from guide.
