"Did this one a few years back.. thought I should upload it here for the public to see. This is a drawing of my hunting party from MHW, we've had a lot of fun times in Astera and Seliana.. Also note that we've developed a bit of our own story with these characters, merging a little bit of Dragon Prince into the mix due to one of my friend's characters being pulled straight from the show.

From left to right (Bottom), the characters and their backstories:

Thaddeus Bennett - The disgruntled Englishman who became a Hunter to escape from his troubled past. When the Hunter's Guild announced their expedition to the New World, Thaddeus was one of the first to sign up for the venture. With his previous military background and excellent strategic skill, he was quickly accepted into the fold.

General Amaya - Hailing from the Kingdom of Katolis, General Amaya was sent to join the Fifth Fleet under the orders of King Ezra. Due to her high ranking, Amaya has been appointed the leader of the Vanguard by the Commander.

Aidan - This little Palico shared a deep bond with Thaddeus when he first became a Hunter. His loyalty knows no bounds, and he will always make sure to take care of his meowster when things get rough.

Munchkin - A plucky little Moogle who came from another world. He bonded with Ava, who had mistaken him for a Palico on their first meeting, and they've been inseparable ever since.

Avarinthia "Ava" Ellianette - As the Princess of the Skywing Elves, Ava lived most of her life within the confinement of her family's castle. She was one of the first Human/Elf hybrids, meant to signify the unity between the Human Kingdoms and the Magical World. In order to fulfill that promise, Ava wanted to experience the Human world and learn of their culture. But her father forbade it, as she was much too young to go out on her own. Eventually, she formed a plan to escape from the Kingdom, and managed to find her way to the Kingdom of Katolis where she learned of the expedition of the Fifth Fleet. Using a bit of illusion magic, she managed to steal a Hunter's Guild Card and used it to sneak onto the ship bound for Astera without getting caught.

Kaia Keahi - The Keahi clan are a tribal group of skilled hunters who have mastered the art of aerial combat. Kaia is the daughter of the village chief, and was blessed with incredible acrobatic prowess. She has an intimate knowledge of various types of poisons, which she uses to coat the blades of her weapon in battle. She was the second person to learn of Ava's true identity, and the two of them share a deep bond due to both of them having overbearing leaders for parents.


Left to Right (Top):

Void - This little Palico loves to dress up, and his meowster, Nero, does his best to provide as many fun costumes for him as he can.

Nero Hardt - Nero has an encyclopedic knowledge of Monsters, and has a unique understanding of their psyche and biology that most researchers would kill for. But where his knowledge of Monsters thrive, his ability to combat them was somewhat lacking, and he usually finds himself caught on the receiving end of most of their attacks. Although he is slow on the hunting grounds, he makes up for it with his sturdiness, using his lance and shield to keep the monster's attention while calling out weaknesses and openings for the rest of the team, making him an invaluable member to the Vanguard. Nero was the first to stumble into Ava's secret, and has been dutifully helping her avoid detection ever since.

Bait - Named after King Ezra's infamous frog companion, Bait is a young dragon under the care of General Amaya. He is quite inexperienced in battle, but Amaya is a patient teacher who always puts special care in teaching him the ways of survival.

Dobby - This little Palico was rescued from his abusive owner by a young Hunter named Velcrow. Though he is clumsy, he still tries his best to help his new meowster any way he can.

Velcrow Leegendary - Vel is a Hunter fresh from the academy, and was on his way to joining the Fifth Fleet when he lost his Guild Card. After Ava's identity was revealed, Vel was allowed to hop on to the Arcadia and finally rejoin the Fleet. Feeling guilty about her deception, Ava befriended him and convinced him to join the Vanguard. Though they had a rocky relationship at first, the two eventually became good friends, getting into various mischievous adventures together with Kaia.

Flerkin - Kaia had Flerkin when she was a kid, given to her by her father's Palico. She raised Flerkin with tender love and care, and the two share a bond that spanned through many years. While most Palicos' relationships with their owners are like master and servant, Flerkin's love for Kaia is almost brotherly, and he refers to her as "Kai" instead of "Meowster"."
