Yeah, the shotgun seems to be the perfect Anti-Flood weapon.

I just shotgun and plasma rifle my way through the whole thing. That combo makes the mission a cakewalk.

It's still notorious for being frustrating, and, though I will admit I had a better time than most, I still died a bunch.
Had to use my head a few times because of some troublesome ambushes.
