The White Wolf of the Worlds is the optional true boss of the Wildlands planet of GiC. The White Wolf is foremost a Tengu, and as such wields incredible speed over many other later bosses and even standard enemies. Her attacks require the utmost attention when fighting her, but GiC offers many adaptive tools for dealing with bosses. The video here displays a melee-resist oriented build with a typical Buckler-Rapier combination, using the weapon art to "joust" with another highly mobile target, ensuring that each hit counts, whilst utilising the buckler shield to parry in the off-hand as I charge or use standard attacks.

- Jingasa without augmentation (+5% melee resist)
- Koloniya Offensive Tactical Vest 3 w/ Chain Armor Plating (+45% melee resist)
- High-Speed Combat Pants w/ Chaimail Leggings (+10% melee resist)
- Dueller's Rapier
- Buckler Shield (standard)
- 20x Healing Flasks
- 1x Cracked Red Sun

The Jingasa can be found in Undercolonies on Colonized Barren planets. The HSCP and KOTV3 can be found as regular armors on other planets, but do not provide any typical protection, aside from some minor vanilla Ice, Fire, Electrical, and Poison resists (none are superior to the other, only offering slightly different protections). The Chainmail augment set can be found in Modified Ancient Vaults as part of the equipment cache loot, or guaranteed at a Floran Greenfinger Replica Fortress in the Blacksmith, usually situated next to the highest point (that isn't the spawn zone) on a Razed Planet.

The Cracked Red Sun is a consumable variant of the standard Red Sun artifact, and provides the same effects. This is only ever useful if you lack the Red Sun artifact (provided by Esther) to increase your health to fight these bosses, at the cost of limiting your jumping abilities significantly. "Jumping" is not entirely valid for GiC bosses, and some other bosses are located in much smaller arenas that will prevent you from jumping without still being hit.

The Dueller's Rapier is a craftable weapon at the Munitions Workbench, but can be guaranteed on the boss corpse prior to the much easier Erchius Warrior boss fight. The main weapon art of the Dueller's Rapier is its simple charge attack which can deal additional damage over time to bosses, and is simply only one of many weapon arts. The Buckler Shield appears on almost every pre-fight corpse, in some flavor or the other.

This is also a new character with spawned-in items, if you couldn't tell. I would normally be using a Healing Flask Ring to gain more healing per flask, instead of the plate, but no doubt that reduced GiC melee damage helps immensely. The HFR is a flawless reward (meaning no deaths and no leaving before killing the boss) given by defeating the Protectorate Deserter sometimes located within Ancient Modified Gateways. If it wasn't a Rapier, I'd be using a halberd. If you're feeling risky, using the point-blank benefits of firearms is also entirely valid, so long as you aren't caught on the reloads, and you have the ammo.
