"Steam Trading Card Art. 1 of 10, Series 1

The hero and main character of the Persona 4 story-line. Not too much of his personal life is known, because he represents a blank slate for players to place themselves onto. Although, we do know a few things. Starting with his name, he's commonly referred to as "Yu Narukami". The name was made popular in the anime adaption Persona 4 The Animation (2011), and made definitively canon in Persona 4 Arena (2012), which serves as a full fledged sequel story to Persona 4. Despite this however, he does have a second recognized name, "Souji Seta". This is thanks to the name's use in the Persona 4 Manga (2008).
For the sake of this overview, we'll refer to the Persona 4 hero as Yu Narukami going forward.

Behind Yu stands his Persona, "Izanagi". Despite being a Wild Card user, Yu utilizes Izanagi as his most versatile and reliable Persona across all of his encounters with the Shadow World. However, since Izanagi is a Persona that utilizes electric moves, it's weak against wind.

On April 11th 2011, Yu Narukami arrives in the small suburban town of "YasoInaba". Due to his parents traveling over seas, Yu must live there for a year with his uncle, "Ryotaro Dojima" and his little cousin "Nanako Dojima". While in Inaba Yu attends "Yasogami High", an old styled high school with little technology due to the town's rural location. If things remained normal, this would've been all that accompanied Yu and his new temporary life in Inaba...but as fate would have it...Yu was about to undergo the greatest life changing experience he'll arguably ever have. Murders. Weird, unexplained murders started surfacing in town. Corpses hanging from television poles would appear after a foggy day, painting the darkest and most horrifying picture to a small town with little defense. With the police struggling to find any leads, it truly was a time of great fear...but little did Yu know, it would be up to him and his new friends to solve the case. And the key to doing so, lies in the TV...
