Having discovered some sort of secret message sewn into the cloak of Frederick Derkaw, our heroes make due for Moontip to recover from their recent ordeals. Their trusted friend and ally, the ranger Tevin, took a moment to remember his past before the party set out. The journey to town was blessed by a showing of recognition from the creatures of the Hollowood, seemingly compelled by Mielikki to give reverence to those who purified the horrific corruption from their home. That night, in Moontip, Alik was beset once again by dreams of Takota Cecile, the elf who led their first contract in Thaura. The vision of Takota led Alik to a house in Moontip. Thia also had visions during her meditation of a gathering of stone giants around a blazing pyre all kneeling to an unseen booming voice. Visitting the house in Alik’s vision, the party met with the Cecile family, and informed them of Takota’s demise. His sister, Lucretia, took the news particularly hard, and the family resolved to set out to Thaura to ensure that Takota receives proper death rights. The Party then split up to do some shopping in Moontip, ordering a lead-lined copper box and admiring much local craftsmanship. In the evening, the Mayor informed them that he had sent town’s guard to investigate the party’s story about the events of the Hollowood, and that their story checks out. There is to be a festival the next day. First, however, The party has decided to investigate Frederick Derkaw’s house to discover more about his Syndicate connections. What will they discover at the home of their would-be assassin?
