Crystal Island
East of the home island, you will discover an island with a strange biome full of crystals and ground covered with an invasive moss. Plants are difficult to grow and must be sown in the tillable soil near the crystals. Resonating the Singing Crystals will make them emit waves and expand the area of tillable soil around them.

New Crafting Recipes: Crystal Tuner, Crystal Pedestal, and Water Pump

Crystal 1 is grown after resonating the Singing Crystal across the stone bridge.
Crystal 2 is grown after resonating the Singing Crystal in the grotto.
Crystal 3 is held by a Molebert in the grotto.

Fun Fact, you can take the Crystal Pedestals home with you and teleport to them, just like with the Singing Crystals. Place them all over your home island for customised fast travel!
Plants
There are 3 categories of plant that are used as currency; Fruit, Flower, and Vegetable. There are also other plants that are only used for crafting/quests and are not used as currency.

Corals
Corals are actually animals! For the sake of simplicity, they're treated like a plant in this game. Corals are not used as a currency, but are a quest item on the Coral Island. There are 3 NPCs that will give you a green octahedron (crystal) in exchange of you growing 3 specific types of corals in their respective areas.

Nifty Information

Feeling scared or confused? Don't worry!
Here are some tips I've come up with from my experience playing through the game.

Losing items to the water
Items are no longer "lost forever" when you toss or drop them into the ocean. They will magically reappear on the island with a cute little puff-of-cloud sound effect.

Recipe Book

if you click the note tab in the settings menu, you can access all the recipes that you've found.
(Note: The first time you register the recipe, you'll hear a chime when you pick it up. Just seeing the recipe will NOT register it in the book, so be sure to grab them when you see it.)

Storage
Let's be real, there's never too much storage!

Some things that may be confusing are recipes for a sort of "door hinge" looking item, and another recipe for a sort of "raft" looking item. These are actually Storage Shelves!

Image
Description
Metal Storage Shelf
Holds 2 different items with a max stack of 10
  • 2 Jelly Drops
  • 1 Lily
  • 1 Marble Stone
  • 2 Rocks
Large Log Shelf
Holds 4 different items with a max stack of 10
  • 2 Blue Lotus Flowers
  • 4 Jelly Drops
  • 1 Linnaea
  • 1 Wood

Teleportation
After completing the Crystal Island, you can actually take the crystal beacons back with you to your home island! Use them to teleport around quickly like you do with the big crystals!

I like to place a beacon on the top of my boat, to make travel much easier. I find that it's handy to place another on top of the shop, and the last one on top of my house.
You can put them wherever you like, or take them with you to make the other islands easier!
I've found that the Coral Island was much less of a hassle with the use of the Crystal Beacons.

If you can see it, you can reach it. Don't put them too far away, and make sure that you keep them somewhere visible.

Other Stuff
When you find the hidden cove, take the jellyfish with you. They'll make bubbles in your pond.

If you grab the large cards from the signs on the Coral Island, you can pin them to the outdoor storage shelves.

Up-root plants quickly with the hoe.

You can re-plant some plants.

If you get the visual inventory bug (preview image stays in the same spot in space while you move your hand) just remove that stack of items from your storage completely, them put them back.

In addition to the mushrooms, you can mix flowers with the Jelly drops to get more dye colours.

Veggie skewer must be crafted on a stove. To get stove you need to upgrade your house. Find construction guy on hill.

I tried to craft the veggie skewer, but putting the items in the crafter and pulling the lever does nothing.

After you get the crystal beacons (with crystals), lets say you grab them all and are using them actively but find that you require more. the game gave me a recipe for the beacon stand (no crystal), anyone know where i can get more of the pink crystals? game wont let me calibrate a beacon stand without a crystal sadly

same ? as Garstrum... how to get the totems ????
Garstrum 6 Feb, 2022 @ 8:54am
Answering my own question, you just gotta keep playing and you'll find em.
Garstrum 6 Feb, 2022 @ 6:12am
how the heck do i get the various little animal totems? like theres one for cow, puffin, and now i see one for the moles to build them a house. i kinda figured maxing out their heart bars would get them to gift it to me, but I maxed out both cows and both puffins and nothing.

(or, is it something I need to just keep playing and I'll discover?)
