To correct what Arbitrario said, this isn't really NGG, its a super jump, which is when you jump off of a rising platform to get a higher jump. NGG is a glitch where you start a new game right as you touch a button, and the new game will have two buttons active at once.

Notes:
1. This is commonly referred to as NGG, or New Game Glitch.
2. Spamming the jump button isn't the most effective strategy, it's better to tap it right after you're out of the water.
3. This saves precisely 192 frames or 4 platforms.
